Powder cement tanker training courses

Hi,
I’m from Ireland, and just checking if there are any requirements, or training courses in the U.K. For driving powder tankers?

Dont know about training courses but didnt used to be any special tickets needed as powder tanks dont carry anything hazardous.

Thanks

Its more a case of a company running powder tankers will recruit a driver and if he’s not done the work before will train him up with an experienced hand, as its not an option to let someone loose who has no experience on how to blow out the various products, as a mistake with pressures etc and you could cause plenty damage! As above not heard of specific tickets or training courses.

Great stuff, thanks

Yes but I never seen a UN number for custard have you?

Lots of things to go wrong with bulk powder tankers.
Weld seam fail blowing all the windows out of the portakabin.
Speak to any lime driver and bet they have all been to hospital at one time or another!
One of the few driving jobs left where its handy to carry a few spanners.
