Nice place for breakfast [emoji849]

Huddersfield Examiner went on to say;

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “The driver of this HGV decided to stop on the hard shoulder to cook his breakfast. The driver has been issued paid and (sic) £50 roadside deposit and sent on his way.”

Stopping and driving on the hard shoulder is illegal for anything other than an emergency, or if directed to by police or traffic officers in uniform, or signs in the case of roadworks or an obstruction, or on a smart motorway if the hard shoulder has been opened to traffic.

Illegally using the hard shoulder can result in a £100 fine and three penalty points on your licence.
