Didn’t even consider that. Even more reason why driver would have seen, felt and/or heard the contact with the pedestrian.
I’m not sure anything could have been done to save her and while aware it could’ve happened to any of us on here, you’d like to think, no matter how harrowing, you would stop soon after & call it in if nothing else. Not a great day for modern humanity. Let’s be bloody safe out there & watch for one another folks. Happy Christmas to all & sympathy to the deceased girl’s family.Absolutely no possibility that the driver could have been looking in the opposite mirrors or ahead as she walked out against the crossing light into the road as the truck was going through on green.While of course we all notice and/or stop and check that anything and everything that we might come across lying in the road isn’t actually someone,or the remains of someone,who’s possibly been run over by a vehicle ahead.Especially if the obstruction suddenly appears from underneath it.Sometimes we have to accept that tragic accidents can sometimes happen.
You’ve made yourself look like a fool in the past, with your ill founded and poorly researched diatribes, but this time you are surpassing even your deplorable standards. Are you really going to keep telling us that you can not see the difference between a person laying on the ground, and a fox?
Whilst it is possible to hit someone with a truck, whilst it’s dark and raining, and you are concentrating on the opposite side mirror, without noticing (we don’t know if the girl was struck and knocked down, or actually ran over by the truck), to postulate that a drivers following the first vehicle at about walking pace, would not have noticed her laying in the road, is ludicrous. And if you remain that running over a human body, is similar to running over a fox, you really need to go see a doctor.
