Hi all i,d just like to hear which trucks all you guys like to drive here,s mine,and please state the pro,s and con,s for each unit.And also a quick list of the trucks you didnt like to drive.
1.Daf xf,s
pro,s nice seating position fantastic steering
Cons engine brake not very good and the strip around the side window sometimes gets in the way when check the wing mirrors
2.volvo fh/fm
Pro,s great seating position superb brakes nice big wing mirrors
cons steering is very light and always seems like you to make corrections
3.Scania (new shape)
pro,s nice layout,great steering
cons average brakes and the digital tacho system ive used in all scania,s ive driven can be confusing making manual enteries
The trucks i didnt like to drive would be
1.anything merc
2.renault premium
1 daf, like the seating arragement, bed, cuboards
2man, not a bad truck, bit plasticy inside but plenty room too move about
3 erf, cab was plasticy, not much room inside(didnt get ecx) but lightweight and indestructble

Ford Transcontinental,so different at the time.Only unit I have ever seen clear a French restuarant ,a company Socopa driver turned up with a new one and they all left their meal to go outside to take a look.Socopa ran Transcon’s long after they became a memory.
Scania 141 my all time great.
Volvo F88 290 even if the short chassis made it back breaking and brakes???did it have any■■?
1 Scania 141 Pros Power Cons uncomfortable cold on winter nights.
2Ford Transcon ■■■■■■■ Fuller Rockwell none better cons rubbish heater and brakes
3DAF XF Superspace just a great lorry in my opinion
Any scania except p cab 4 series. Great driving position and driveline and the best mirrors of any truck. Actros lovley drive and the best double drive for traction on a landfil site. White road comander never driven one but its the truck that made me want to drive trucks. The worst is any iveco.
My top 3 goes like this
No1 Scania 143 V8 500 Just about spot on in every way
No2 Foden Spacecab 450 Cat For the abilty to just keep going on landfill sites when all around are bogged down and pull like there is no tommorrow
No3 Daf 95 480 SSC Space space and more space
My worst ones
No1 Renault Premium Horrendous in every part of the bag of bolts
No2 Mercedes Actros Hill hating gutless just hard work before you start work!!!
no1 merc actros2546 megaspace mp2 excellent cab auto box
no2 Daf xf superspace large cab lay out of cab
no3 scania r113 380 topline relibility pulling power image
the above are the best i have driven
the worst
no1 any scania topline with bunk above steering wheel stupid rear lockers
no2ford iveco rigids plastics cheap unreliable
no3 mercedes axor terrible cab and manuel gearbox
Volvo FH, simple good gears reasonable bed, good vision.
DAF XF tonnes of room, good bed. Prefer manual.
Have to say really like the new Axsor. Been requesting the new ones at Tesco and they’re the dogs - and manual. Pain in the bungholio to get from drivers side to passengers internally though.
Hate magnums, look great but mince drive (well, one ive driven anyhoo).
Not a great fan of MAN, though they do have tonnes of room.
Iveco i wouldnt p1sh on if they were “oan hud”.
