Third time this one has been on here, but still a scarey crash!

This was the aftermath…

Sorry, my bad. Fairly new on here so never seen it. Definitely scary

Welcome to trucknetuk.com.

Since you are new, I feel obligated to remind you that you can get fined £100 per turn of the legs handle. Also, take some chalk with you incase you need some bays coning off if you are delayed while tipping at a DC.

And don’t forget the rule about bunks in sleeper cabs, must be at least 20 inches from the steering wheel

Based on some of the replies to the “whos to blame thread” there will no doubt be some on here who will apportion blame to the lorry driver :unamused:

[emoji106] great advice guys. Obviously got it from your cpc “instructor”. [emoji2]

I thought it was old :unamused:

I miss my little white car…lol

I severely crapped myself today. Today was one of those days I wished I had a dash cam. I’m the only one who doesn’t have one cos I’ve got a hire unit. Approaching at a set of traffic lights just round the corner from our yard, there was another artic stuck halfway through the lights with his hazards flashing. I sat well back to allow others to get round him while the lights were at red for me. Driver wasn’t in his cab when the thing started rolling down the hill towards me!!! Nowhere i could go! I was sat there completely helpless. To say I ■■■■ myself is an understatememt. Driver was very lucky though. He ran round in front of his runaway truck to get in his cab to stop it. He managed it but could have been very nasty.

I’m paranoid about the park brake, the last thing I look at before I shut the cab door is the brake lever.

Was on the A1 coming south where M62 joins a couple of months ago and some prat in a camper van rolled back into the carriageway. I had no where to go and ended up hitting them. When I got round to their cab they said I had hit them in the lay-by. They soon changed there tune when I said I had it on film! Then the story was the hand break failed! They were lucky I had nearly stopped when I hit them so not to much damage and no one hurt. First thing that I do after the card goes in is dash cam into the windscreen. Everyday without fail.

a virador skip lorry driver was killed like that round my way last week…

I have a next base 302 which does ok for me. The only problem with it is the battery life is crap. Cost me £80 off the net. There are a lot of newer ones now and a lot of cheap crap. What I would say is pay a bit more and get a good one as the cheap ones say they are hd and do this and that and they don’t. You need one that will read number plates in the dark. Do your homework before you buy

There’s a guy on YouTube, his channel is Techmoan. He does a lot of dash can reviews.

Think I remember reading about that one. Was that the one that happened in a hospital?
The guy today must have had his brakes lock on halfway round the corner cos I seen skid marks in the road. (Skid marks in both our undercrackers too) He obviously got out to mess about with the suzies or brake buttons without putting the handbrake on in his cab. I really did have visions of something bad happening, but luck was on his side today. Lucky, lucky man.

Same here, it’s even got to the stage where it doesn’t feel right if it’s not there

I use an ePrance, the quality is brilliant but choose the one that suits you best…

I would say go on ebay and get something for about £35.00.

Nice one guys…thanks
