I’m paranoid about the park brake, the last thing I look at before I shut the cab door is the brake lever.
Me too with good reason. Mate of mine was coupling up a trailer on a slope many years ago, he knocked trailer brake off and it started rolling, he was dead 10 seconds later, trailer wheels went straight over him so I always check and double check now.

I’m the only one who doesn’t have one cos I’ve got a hire unit.
Do yourself a favour Damoq and get one. They’re relatively inexpensive and can save you soooo much hassle after the event. Btw mate, hire unit excuse won’t wash, they plug into a cig lighter and have a suction cup for the windscreen.
How do they work then? Do you need a terabyte of sd card or what?

They have a rolling record of about 10 to 20 minutes If they sense a sudden stop or a crash they will auto save the last 10 minutes of footage. They will also have a manual save button you can press if you happen to witness something that you weren’t directly involved in.

I have a 32GB card in mine that will record around 8 hours of driving.
It will also automatically ‘protect’ a 5 minute recording in a case of harsh braking or collision by way of G force.
Along with a manual record button as above…

Top stuff, I’m sold!
Take your time deciding on whatever model you do.
Think about the functions available and another thing to consider is the angle of the lens. The wider the recorded angle, more is recorded.
The one I use is 170 degrees which records pretty much everything that can possibly be recorded, the only downside is that everything looks a little further away than it really is so can cause people to question your judgement (IMO). Upside of that is it WILL catch that drunken fool walking in front of you after the lights turn green…
Good luck
There would’ve been motorists passing the scene blaming both the truck drivers involved not realising that the car had been traveling in the wrong direction. Just saw the 2 trucks, the car smashed to ■■■■ facing the wrong way and put 2 and 2 together and come up with 6.
They probably would’ve thought that the immingham truck has pushed the car around to face the wrong way.

Does it matter a flying fig what the passing motorists think happened?

Does a bit, they’ll just go home and tell everyone about the nasty crash where the big bad trucks smashed the hell out of the tiny defenseless car… Nuisance them trucks I tell thee, carnage everywhere they go…

Correct.
Sorry to repeat myself - but does it matter a flying fig what the passing motorists tell their mates? Pretty much everyone has their preconceptions and prejudices about their fellows - be they gays, Poles, cyclists, agency drivers or even Stobarts drivers - and a few (or even a few dozen) publicly available videos showing to the contrary won’t change that one iota.
I absolutely hate gay, Polish agency drivers cycling to rugby for a shift at stobarts
