Wonder if the recovery will have the sense to let the tyres down or just drag it out and completely wreck it

ooooopps
I was going to Weswood West Calder last week, turned left at lights came right on to a 14. 6 (I think) arched bridge.
Now as far as I know there were no warning signs, but I could well have missed them , but who knows…(any locals on here?)
Faced with 2 choices, let the suspension down on my 14 6 trailer, crawl up to it head and shoulders out of window carefully watching, …OR try and back up to lights despite traffic build up.
It was a ■■■■ creek and paddle situation so I went for it…and got under with no probs tbh…luckily
My point is if I had touched that bridge my hands would be held up, my fault entirely, no arguments, and would have had to back up that slope fully loaded (more or less illegally) on to a main road junction, where as these kamikaze type guys are getting through to the other side, in other cases completely wrecking their trailers.
Nothing else but driving without dc & a., and should get a ban for it imo.
(Admittedlly a bit like I did if those signs WERE there and I missed them
,… but at least in my case no harm was done.)

Poor effort RobRoy ! Not what we expect from 21st century drivers.
You haven`t once said “It was the SatNav, not me!”
That really does look like a “young Rod Stewart” driving the coach.
Could be Carly Simon though.
If only there were some sort of warning signs so the driver knew how high the bridge was.

There is on the other side of the bridge
There are no warnings on the main road- either direction-as the bridge would appear to be full height between the markings, only being lower under the sides. Pretty poor design.

Bloody fool that Brunel fella! Fancy designing a bridge too low for an artic. No foresight.
Sorry…

Don’t be silly, whats the need in them?!
It doesn’t look too bad, he won’t get fired, probably just a little coaching.

If he gets a fare hearing he will…

Let’s hope he doesn’t have to cross that bridge.

Bus drivers job in jeopardy and this is how you conduct yourselves

Would you like us to stop?
I’m pretty impressed that a Plaxton Panther at 11’11” almost fitted through a 10’6” bridge!!!
Well the bus driver did… eventually.
I think I’m safe in guessing that’s a rail replacement bus from stoke station
