You cant use our toilet

For the ladies on here there is a lovely little contraption called a shewee http://www.shewee.com which is basically a funnel but its really handy for laybys, dirty toilets and for urinating in bottles to throw in the hedge.

This will continue until the law, vosa or hse do some thing we p…s and s…t like everyone else WTD and silly poa dont make me laugh

to be quite honest if it were me i would rather have a crap in the comfort of the back of my lorry with a carrier bag and possibly a copy of the sun than some dirty old bog or services where every one afraid of smallwillyitis has ■■■■■■ all over the seat any way. can I be the only one?

provided there is somewhere with soap and hot water to wash my hands of course :exclamation:

What for? the guy who drove the truck yesterday didn’t

well thats allways the worry isn’t it unless like me you have your own motor. but im sure we have all wiped enough bogies under the seat to know that driving another persons motor is not going to be a sterile environment.

Hi Everbody
Before i moved to Calgary (2007) i was depot manager for Great Bear at one of there sites, We stopped one firms drivers from using the toilet no names but it started with a BULM–S and pulled for Geest, the reason one of there drivers [zb] on the floor and just left it there. If he would of said something or asked for something to clean it up no problems but i dont and would not ask anyone to clean that up. It sad that all drivers got treated that way but we had loads coming from all over europe and no problems Bul— driver no you can,t use the toilet

Do you think that collective responsiblility is fair?

This legendary clip says it all:

Couldn’t you leave them a little present and say “Do you want this mate, my wife packed this up for me but I don’t really fancy it? You look like you could do with a drink!”

Employers have a general duty under section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of their employees at work. People in control of non-domestic premises have a duty (under section 4 of the Act) towards people who are not their employees but use their premises. The Regulations expand on these duties and are intended to protect the health and safety of everyone in the workplace, and ensure that adequate welfare facilities are provided for people at work.

So . . . . . . .

Section 2 deals with employees, and Section 4 with ‘trades’ visitors.

That’s all well and good until you read “Section 4”

General duties of persons concerned with premises to persons other than their employees.
4. (1) This section has effect for imposing on persons duties in relation to those who

-are not their employees; but
-use non-domestic premises made available to them as a place of work or as a place where they may use plant or substances provided for their use there,
and applies to premises so made available and other non-domestic premises used in connection with them.

(2) It shall be the duty of each person who has, to any extent, control of premises to which this section applies or of the means of access thereto or egress therefrom or of any plant or substance in such premises to take such measures as it is reasonable for a person in his position to take to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the premises, all means of access thereto or egress therefrom available for use by persons using the premises, and any plant or substance in the premises or, as the case may be, provided for use there, is or are safe and without risks to health.

So to use Sect 4 successfully, I’d say that you’d need to get a professional — maybe a doctor, or perhaps find a published paper stating the “risks to health” relating to ‘holding it in’ for prolonged periods.

I dont know if ive told this before, but one of our recent departees ( egg on legs ) had come back from a middle east run with a delivery for a company in the midlands...however along the way he picked up a stomach virus, which meant he had to stop frequently for a ponySo on arriving at this company asked politely where the toilet was, and was told that no drivers, under any circumstances were allowed to use the toilets, or facilities on site. he explained his predicament, and was told tough luck rules are rulesHe then walked to the middle of the yard, and in full view of the offices, toilet paper in hand, dropped his trousers, and did it in full view of everyone..after wiping his a*se, walked back to the office and told them, next time a driver asks to use the toilet…let him …`
Obviously he was told to exit the site, and never return…
