Just recieved a 'phone call asking me to start at 04-00. Now I’ve eventually got fed up of working for an agency and after a brief “conversation” told them I didn’t want to work for them again. They sounded most peeved, but tough. I’ve just told 'em where to go. Admittadly probably not my brightest move at this time of year and it’s done nothing for my blood pressure

Especially considering that Rotherham (Championship) have just been beaten 3-0 by Yeovil Town (League 2)… 
I’m quite flexible over my start times but only if they give me enough notice so I can adjust my sleep pattern. I will not take a truck out if I have not had enough sleep.
I had a similar thing happen with the agency I am with. Told them to stick it etc.
After thinking it over, I thought, why should I leave a good job over the actions of some fool in the office? I phoned them up and spoke to the organ grinder and put my case 
. He had to agree that my reason for turning the run down was valid.
I had my rant and it cleared the air. I said sorry for the things said the night before and he apologised for them not thinking etc. We “shook hands” down the phone and all has been OK since then.
the present dip in work is the only thing keeping me where i am. i cant afford to break my contract just now or i would be offski to another agency til i pick a job that i actually want to do
Having thought about it Chunky, it’s not necessarily this one thing. The main is, to move foreward I now need a full time job. I’ve found some things out over the past couple of weeks that have peed me off, add to that the lull in work and that was the final staraw. The lull I can cope with and I liked the work I was doing, this is not the way I like to do things, it’s the only job I’ve left under a “cloud” so to speak, but it’s done now and I feel so much better for it . Think I’ll leave looking until this wind’s calmed down though.

the site here by us , also the labour office web-site , or is they a RDC
near you it might be worth a try as well , all I can say is hope that
you find some thing quick and that is right for you .

You aren’t that far from Crick, and I was recently told that Parcel Force are paying £25 per hour for Sunday work.
It sounds somewhat of an exaggeration, but not to be ignored.
