Me for one will be be pleased to see the slow recline of foreign vehicles on our roads, not just in sabotage, but wondering what the [zb] their up to when you come up behind them, threir making me old before my time. For sure the Gaffer’s Will miss them, and the office toe rags who talk and treat them like dung. But I won’t Roll on Turner’s

Rog270:
,not just in sabotage,

 Have another go mate, give you a clue …it starts with a ‘C’ (unless you are planning on cutting their brakepipes that is. )

Bonus points for anyone who can tell the class the origins of the word “sabotage”.

French meaning destroy

Evil8Beezle:
French meaning destroy

To be more specific, it’s a very unique French word, meaning to ‘bugger things up in a way which makes other peoples lives are more tricky, whilst trying to pretend you never done nuffink gov’…

One thing I can’t stand is those laid back left hand drives… :grimacing:

Something to do with Luddites chucking their clogs (sabots) into machines to render them U/S.

Correct. You ain’t just a pretty face Paul  . It was Lancastrian mill workers throwing their clogs (or sabots as you correctly said) into the new fangled machines to damage or destroy the machines.

As opposed to cabotage, which is something entirely different. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not even a pretty face, I’m afraid.

But I did do A level French and it would appear that I did listen to something in one O level history lesson

I think he was just pointing out that the word you were looking for was “cabotage”.

Christ Rog, you really are a sabbage.

 I haven’t got a clue what this thread is about??

It’s about a bellend, whose cranium is emptier than a BHS pension pot mate.

One of the reasons that I went wildly off topic is that quite frankly I’m bored with yet another “bloody foreigner” thread which is exactly where the op was trying to lead us. I do sense the irony in someone who constantly attacks and berates anybody who is not British but has himself failed to grasp, understand or even communicate in what is his mother tongue!

 I haven’t got a clue what this thread is about??

Don’t worry, neither has the op :stuck_out_tongue:

Re; Comments regarding Paul Nowak’s grid. I have had the (mis)fortune to study this mans face whilst consuming an alcoholic beverage.

It got no better as the alcohol took effect.
