It’s difficult to get “out” more, when we can’t get “in” to the layby for it being stuffed with foreign wagons in the first place…

Another thing: I’ve never seen a foreign driver handing over payment for staying over 2 hours at a service area… Do they do with MSA parking like single guys in BMWs do with Mother and Baby parking places at the supermarket by any chance? :unamused:

Winseer mate…Who tf apart from people like you actually g.a.f. ■■?

I also have never seen a foreign driver pay for parking, maybe he does maybe he doesn’t, I have never took any notice, and guess what?..I DON’T CARE ! :bulb:

I don’t own neither an MSA or a [zb] supermarket with ‘‘Mother and baby parking places.’’…so it does not concern, bother or depress me…end of.

You must lead a very sad dull boring life if this sort of stuff worries you so much.

Join an action group, stand for Parliament, write a letter to the Daily Express, join the Women’s Institute, start a leaflet campaign, give Jeremy Kyle a bell, there are all sorts of remedies to all this crap, you obviously have lots of disposable time on your hands, and very few real worries.

As for me?
Well I’ll just get on with all the trials and tribulations of my own life,.and leave others to get on with theirs. :bulb:

I’m not angry at those of our own profession getting by the best they can - I’m upset about the police who can’t seem to do even a basic level of policing any more in Britain today. :imp:

Hang on a minute here.
The foreign driver parking under the Chobham bridge (admittedly not the best place to park)

Lay bys quote; ‘‘stuffed with foreign wagons’’ (maybe not their ideal or first choice)

The foreign driver not paying for MSA parking, (maybe no money, and anyway good on him I say)

These could all be interpreted as, quote; ‘‘getting by the best way they can’’

What (apart from possibly the first example) has that got to do with UK policing or lack of it??
So it looks like you are backpedalling faster than a clown on a uni cycle again here mate eh?

You know what he means robroy as well as I do, there doing stuff every night that we would lose our O licences for and its not right. I got nicked in Belgium recently for no seat belt and when I paid the copper 120 euros I said I don’t have a problem but it’s a shame we weren’t pulling the Belgium trucks for the same thing in the uk. Copper agreed. And one more thing, I am not a Stobart div, I run my own trucks regular to ex commi bloc and was running to Russia 25 years ago so I’ve done a bit and considering nothing bothers you you aren’t half getting yourself wound up

If you think I’m getting wound up that’s your opinion to which you are fully entitled, but if I’m honest I couldn’t give a ■■■■ what you think.
I have also as you say ‘‘done a bit’’, and I have been on the ■■■■ ty end of this abuse to foreign drivers by Brit drivers, usually those that have never seen south of Dover themselves, and who would ■■■■ themselves at the prospect. :unamused:
Thing is though, as soon as I retaliated, and opened my gob with a Brit accent, they ALL backed off,…all wind and ■■■■ the lot of them.

Also fyi, while driving Belgian and Dutch registered trucks in the UK, I was pulled by VOSA more times than I would like to remember, so that kind of first hand blows your theory.

As for you being Stobby, you never even came on my radar, mate, I don’t know the first thing about you, so I don’t know why you thought I took you for a ‘‘Stobart div’’ in the first place.

Is it too late to get some popcorn in?

You generalised but I don’t want to fall out over it. And believe you have been pulled plenty of times by vosa, I see it all the time, my problem though is that although many EE trucks are pulled often too many are not nicked and when I am called to vosa leatherhead to rescue another RHD Romanian registered unit it is often the same old shed I’ve rescued before with the same bald tyres, air leeks, no wing tops or anti spray, but they paid there fine and will be back on the M25 on Monday. Listen there are few on here that did continental in the early nineties that didn’t run a bit bent over there but now the games moved on and their having it off over here, I don’t blame them and I treat them as I want to be treated but I just want a piece of the action. Anything wrong with that?

Starting to report on the condition of others vehicles more so EE drivers is bordering on the ridiculous. Why would anyone bother??
Its up to the driver to make sure his truck is in order and the points/ fine will only be going one way, let whoever just get on with it. Fair enough if theres something hanging off/ broken dragging along the road then just let them know but to actually report defects to authorities like tyres ect… Nah…
There does seem to be a certain dislike to European drivers in the UK and i find that one strange, its certainly not the case over here vice versa, theyre hardly nicking anyones load from Travis Perkins are they

The words of a true professional, no problem if the tyres are bald.

Of course its wrong if the tyres are bald but im certainly not going to be reporting anyone for it… are you?? I suppose the only ones with defective tyres are EE drivers right?

The point is not that I want to run bald tyres its that I want to do 56 on the the A20M into Dover like everyone else but it’s a 40 with average speed cameras for the few UK registered trucks

Generalised about what exactly??

You say your problem is that although many EE trucks are pulled, too many are not nicked, are you saying that the ones who ‘are not nicked’ have been let off ?
Surely if they are not nicked they have done nothing wrong, or have I missed something here.
I am not refuting that there are cowboy operators in every nationality, and they rightly should be done for it, and you say you want a piece of the action, are you saying you wish you could run bent or what? :open_mouth:

My objection on this thread was firstly the views of the o/p (who incidentally has chosen to go quiet seeing as he did not on the whole get his perceived response) taking child like pleasure in witnessing another driver getting grief off the law. :unamused: …I mean,…ffs.

Then our other friend who takes it on himself to report everybody in a busybody type style, (especially bizzare as he has not driven full time since God was a lad)

And then of course Winseer , quote; ‘’ getting upset’’ :unamused: over stuff that basically has ■■■■ all to do with him, and whose time would be better spent just getting on with his own job.

I aint an apologist for EE drivers either by any means, I just have little time for nosey people who have problems minding their own business, and drama queens.

I aint going to fall out over it either, so EagerB and his mate can cancel the popcorn.

Regarding the reference above to the OP going quiet (that’s me btw) , the reason there has been no response is that I stated what I thought and have nothing to add to it.

However, I have read other people’s views with interest. That’s why I am a member on here to find out what other people think. Let’s face it, if we all had the same views, this would be a very boring forum. Er, that’s it.

, that’s

Just let them get on with it, if thats the speed they want to run at in a 40. Ive a variation of the 90kph limit ie 100kph so do thousands of others, many are higher. Not everything is as balck and white as it is in the UK, glad i dont have to put up with all the geeky red tape anymore, surprised much ever gets done in the Uk what with all the H&S malarky piled on top as well :unamused:
