XPO Logistics

I’ve heard it said that Linde don’t want to run logistics, and I’m sure XPO would love to get their hands on the bulk operation. Then there’s the way BOC pretty much never take drivers on full time.

Who knows? But I agree the cylinder trunking seems to be going well.

My mate has been on agency for the best part of seven years on the bottle delivery side. He won’t have it that since TDG took the trunking that eventually the BOC management will look at the whole operation and outsource to NDL and now XPO.
But the rumours was NDL wanted to do the BOC trunking on their terms but not the real nasty stuff. BOC say its our way or no way, NDL say bye. TDG takes it on, get taken over by NDL who now have to do the stuff they didn’t want.
Another rumours was that NDL management thought buying TDG was for the tanker operation only but got the tautliner and walking floor as a loosers prize.

there isn’t a driver shortage after all.

No there isn’t. Plenty of good drivers to keep the industry moving, who never complain about not being able to get a job.

Nearly correct.
NDL apparently pulled out of the BOC original contract for whatevenr reason and then TDG took it on then TDG was bought out by the Laxey corporation then Laxey’s was bought by NDL, did NDL pull out originally knowing that TDG was going to run the contract and and that NDL was going to takeover TDG thus allowing TDG to set the contract up absorbing any original set up costs and losses, smart move if they did though.
When Laxey/TDG was bought out the whole of the BOC trunking work was done by NDL now XPO, I do also agree that eventually BOC will outsource the whole lot.

Met my mate at teatime for a pint and the is rumour is XPO have approached BOC for the delivery side of business. He reckons that the union won’t have it as they are more than just drivers.

Aparantly They was trying to buy downturns but it all fell Thru down to the gready downturds

Nothing suspicious about the xpo warehouse in Hinckley the op referred to. It’s tescos rsu which was run buy nobbys. No global ■■■■■■■■■■ going on, just a new sign
