An older big cabbed truck, or a brand new smaller cabbed one?
My mate drives a 53 plate super space cab Daf XF, which is pretty tidy still, but has done 800000 ks. His boss has told him that he is getting a brand new truck in January, a 105 XF, but its only gonna be a space cab.
Think Id rahter keep my Super Space 95, then a Space cab 105.
Maybe going from a Super Space cab to a FM or something similar would take the pee, but what is the size difference between a Space cab and Super Space cab. I’m sure there is enough space for most drivers kit.

the headroom is one key issue between the two.
if you have driven the Superspace for a long time, then move to a space cab, i found that i kept hitting my head on the roof.
also, the SSC has got a fitted fridge as standard, the spacecab does not, this means either spending money on fitting a fridge or using a 24v cooler box (which again takes up more valuable space)
the interior cupboard space is not as big in the space cab.
it’s just my personal opinion, i would rather have an older superspace than a brand new space cab
I came out of a space cab, and into the super space cab I have now, while from the outside the difference doesnt look that much when you get inside it is much bigger, the top cupboards are awesome. Also in a space cab the top bunk is neither use nor ornament, and I removed it, Im 6 foot and could just stand up in a space cab, but can do it really comfortably in a SSC.
the only way that the renault beats the DAF is with the headroom, there is more useable storage space in teh DAF, and the bottom bunk is absolutely fantastic

i drive a transporter,so its pretty much rabbit hutch for me all the time.boo hoo
Don’t know how you do it mate, I get ■■■■■■ off if there’s even a wee crumb on the carpet in my truck never mind living with all your stuff all over the place
my 03 XF space cab suits me perfect.don’t do too many nights out thankfully.
i’m 6’4" and can stand on the floor on the passenger side to change clothes no problem.my head just barely touches the roof.
i’ve been driving an FH12 the last week and i hate it
driving position is too high…no leg room…crap bunk…very noisy compared to the DAF…and the list could go on more if i wanted to.
So i’ll definitely keep the DAF if the boss wants to give me a newer Volvo FH
deffo the Super Space, form all the reasons mentioned above. ive done 4 months away in one go in a space cab, and am in my 4th month away in my super space. The difference is amazing, you dont feel so crammed in in a SSC.
And you can never have too much space. My lockers, top bunk and underbunk storage are all full with stuff, mainly clothes. There may be bigger cabs on the market, but there arent any to beat aSSC for storage, E.G Magnums, = loads of space, but hardly any storage space.

what about that blue one that has been extended?
absolutely acres of storage space in that, 4 external lockers, still got the three lockers above the windscreen, two cavernous lockers below the double bed, standard fridge, plus a larger fridge freezer, sink, more space on the back wall if you wanted to fit more lockers too

ok you got me there!! i did mean factory made trucks, not specialist conversions! That blue one would do me for the time i spend away, just take the middle axle off, put lower profile tyres on, convert to a left ■■■■■■, and paint it black, hey ho! my perfect motor!!
Ill drive qnything providing the money is right away all week in a P cab for the right money would be better than crap money in a super duper extreme cab.
