Would you drive a 7.5 Tonner?

Spot on Kenny. Noisy and uncomfortable and crap mirrors. Hired one last year when we moved house. A Daf LF is it? Utterly unimpressed. I started off on the 7.5 tonners years ago and i don’t remember them being that bad. I’d still drive one though, but i’d have to be desperate.

to me driving is driving no matter the class

Why reg:
Drove one for years before taking my HGV, and ‘yes’ I would go drive one again…

As with this poster, I used to drive one for a long time before I got my PCV or HGV.

I used to drive agency for TNT Retail when it was at Leicester. Nice new ‘N’ plated MAN’s with no limiter.

YUMMYY,

If it was a full time job and not agency temp crapiola, I’d jump in one tomorrow. with the exception of physical restrictions, you can go anywhere a car can and christ, does that make getting in and out of busy towns and cities better

used to have a merc atego short wheel base, compared to our class 2 wehicles it was quite nippy but because of the short wheelbase it drove like a boat. seriously is would float around like it had a mind of its own. we got rid of it cos the payload was poor

yes i would if i could find one in my area any job that involves driving would do and have applied for some but soon as there see that i have a class1 the give you a look and wounder if you are going to stay :frowning:

I’d drive a wheelbarrow if it paid the right money…

I drive a 7.5t most of the time as thats all i can drive at the moment and i like to think i am a proper trucker! :sunglasses: The cab is a DAF LF 45 sleeper which i rate very highly. When the bed is down its a super space cab  ! I cant wait to drive the big stuff but at the moment i am loving what i am doing.
