What sat-nav do you use is it good bad or good add on to a normal sat nav?
my dad uses a tom tom truck sat nav & says its spot on. alough a normal tom tom set up properly is just as good. not sure on model no’s though
Only had experience of using a tomtom so will say that. Have just ordered a XXL tomtom after using the GO500 a few years back. Whatever one you use, remember to not turn your brain off when turning the sat nav on, they are ultimately designed for cars, forgetting that could get you in trouble.
I use TomTom with no problems but I tend to follow what Chopsticks is advising.
i’ve used both tomtom and garmin sat navs, both easy to use, garmin found addresses that tomtom didn’t,but that could be down to the owner not doing regular updates. just watch out for warning sign’s and you’ll be fine.
I use snooper truckmate and find it getting better with every update. The camera
datebase is top class .As people have said on this site look before you turn .

i have a snooper truckmate and a very basic garmin . although i cant fully trust the garmin due to it not knowing i’m in a wagon i think it gives me better instructions but as you say the snooper is getting better with updates . i updated it the other day and it took 2 hrs
and i’m one of the oldies that swore i would never have one and now have two …
just remember , like the others have said ,its just a lump of parts and will get you in trouble if you dont have your wits about you so carry a good map aswell and think before you blindly do as it says .
p.s i was today informed i also have a satnav on my mobile phone but i’m struggling to get it to work so i now “nearly” have 3 of them …
dude,i use a tomtom 520 with tomtom truck maps installed, saved me more times than i can remember.
i use a small little car garmin nuvi sat nav with conjunction with a truckers atlas, i think it also depends on what type of haulage your in, some of the guys deliver to farms and such like that cause all sorts of problems
I have the snooper s7000, works well enough, has a couple of little quirks that ■■■■ me off, have had it since august 2009, how much is it to update the software?

Mal what was wrong with the pronav had one did you get in touch with pronav or update it before taking it back
As for snooper watch out those updates will be charged for very soon

thanks for all the replies . like bowser i’m an oldie back trucking after a few years, used to have ■■■■ loads of a to z’s said i’d never use sat nav.

A sat nav will be cheaper than buying alot of A-Z’s
That’s strange they use the same map data get intouch with pronav with the start an finish point and where you ended up and see if they can recreate it. They are a company that really do care about there product and want right
