I have the snooper s7000, works well enough, has a couple of little quirks that ■■■■ me off, have had it since august 2009, how much is it to update the software?

if you plug it into your computer it should take you to the snooper website and you can download from that . you can also update all the poi’s from there aswell . can take a while though … like i said mine took 2 hours the other night and it was’nt that long ago i updated last time .

I will have ago, i download the safety camera alerts every week, will be nice to update the maps and any bugs they have sorted out on it

mine suffered from a severe lag on the screen , what i mean is , it seemed to be behind me rather than in front and was late telling me what i needed to know , i updated it and turned off most of the poi’s i did’nt need and it was far better from that point on . the lag was due to it being unable to update or refresh the screen quick enough , i dont know if thats one of the problems you are having with your’s .

Im not suffering from lag too much, fair enough when there a few more streets its showing in 3d it slows down, but I have turned off the user poi, which annoyingly put themselves back on when you switch it off lol I have started the software and map update, only another 11 1/2 hours to wait to download 1.67gb, atleast I will have new maps, the map I have atm thinks the roundabout at colsterworth on the A1 is still there lol

Anyone know how long it takes to transmit from laptop to sat nav after the download finishes?

it should go straight to your satnav , i know mine did , plug the usb cable in and it should turn the satnav on to a standby kind of thing while it sorts itself out . make sure you plug the mains cable in aswell cos your snooper will get bored ■■■■■■■■ and switch off . you also have to download a seperate software thingy for the poi wotsit .

any preferences for ireland guys i have been using an old tom tom go and has gave me a headache with low bridges.

God knows where my mains plug is for it lol

I managed to transfer the data to my sat nav in about 25 mins so it did it ok on the battery.

Thanks for the info
