After years of dropping into roadside cafes and butty vans for an egg butty and always getting good service and food. Today we visited one that produced an egg sausage and bacon roll that was inedible. Luckily my mate tried to eat it not me. Just wondered if this happens a lot.

Dinkies on the Welspool road just outside of Ford,the 24hr place…dirty hole,I stopped there once to get a sandwich after seeing how much dirt was under the guys nails who was serving (had no rubber gloves on either) I just bought a pack of polo’s and a can of pop rather than prepared food…never again!

All freshly sourced meats , eggs , even the breads from a baker and it’s reasonably priced too

Ross cattle market grease wagon (as of 5+ years ago anyway) with any luck its closed down or been condemned, quarantined and burnt to ashes by now.
Used to call into Quernhow quite often back in the 80’s when it was always spot on, heard recently it has gone right down the pan.

AGREED!! All his meat is local and tasty…none of that catering rubbish that a lot of vans dish up! The best burger I have ever had from a van.
I just wish he was somewhere else than on the Wroxham road as I dont often go that way yet im always on the Norwich bypass.
The one outside 3663 in Basingstoke is horrendous you can literally tip the grease out of the takeaway box your brekkie comes in.

The frying pan was a wok filled with oil, the female (best I could call her) used to drop the egg in the pan, and fish it out with a fishing net

Ross, food from a van, not bad, and a bus to sit in, with TV. Big awning and a shepherd dog. Also sold cans of wife beater…
