Thanks to all for the kind messages. It’s just a question of waiting for the operation now.

Just been reading all the posts and i take my hat off at you as your sense of humour hasn’t changed under the circumstances you are one brave man.

Hope the family are coping with having you at home watching the DVD’s of Convoy and Smokey and the Bandit lol

Remember when you go in for the op you tell them NOT to take the Diesel out of your veins and that they have a Diesel drip on stand by just in case.

A bit late but just read your post Mal. I’m shocked. But mostly gutted for you mate. I hope when it is all put right that you can get your licence back, but like you say, you have a CPC so maybe, looking on the bright side…(there has to be one)…it could be a new start for you, a new career. Look to the future chuck and try to plan a steadier life…less stress…and take care. If I miss when you go in to hosp, I wish you all the best.

It was touch and go Neil, pensioners and kids on the path was murder, but got a quick turnaround and managed to get back! :laughing:

It’s doing well mate. Soon be a seven days a week job then I’ll join you having a by-pass! I’ve got to cut it down a bit…and it’s only just started. I’ll PM you. x

sorry to hear the news mal, heres wishing you a speedy recovery and just to prove it isn’t all over i recently sponsored a bloke at the yard where i run from, he had a heart transplant (or something like that) and now competes in the paralympics or whatever it is, he had to raise money to go to the games, he’s been training hard at shot putt and came back with the gold mate, he’s just gone off again somewhere else because he won gold and is due to go to australia next year to compete.
