makes you wonder what peoples intentions are when they are coming towards you!

From that update article it sounds like they found the woman who was following the Tesco truck then.

Paul

Thing is with the incident, if some one has taken control of the situation you are best to just leave the scene.
She didn’t see the impact, only the aftermath, imo she didn’t do anything wrong.
In all my time driving, I’ve only been 1st on scene once, soon as emergency services arrived I left my details, and went, I didn’t see the the impact so I wasn’t a witness.
I would prefer for someone else to jump in to help, don’t do blood and guts.

The tesco driver will be for the high jump 44mph on sc. I am sure that’s against company policy!!

Did you bother to read the article before saying it was suicide or do you have information the inquest didn’t hear.

Mr Coverdale said although Mr Ordak had money problems he was also planning a family with his new girlfriend in Bath. Recording an open verdict, he had considered suicide, but said Mr Ordak may have dozed off at the wheel.

Yes!

Geez, that’s a rough deal, selfish ■■■■■■■ could have killed someone else besides himself, one less crazy pole on the road tho I suppose, there was that other one in Devon/Cornwall last year that killed the family of 3 ■■ or something like that wasn’t it ■■ Is this the latest euro import trend when things don’t work out ■■ Head to the local busiest road you can find and slam into the front of some innocent person ?

■■■■■■■

there was a bloke who smashed his car into the back of a parked truck,in a laybye on the a38 near where i live.
apparently,he was a teacher who was due in court for noncing.

Whilst the official verdict was open the way it is worded suggests that it was almost certainly suicide but the fact that it could not be proven beyond reasonable doubt means that it could not be officially put down as such.

That’s how I read it anyway.

Paul

Any news on the truck drivers prosecution for speeding?? Bet the pigs were rubbing there hands together at a ready made scapegoat!!

If it was recorded as Suicide, there would be no chance of any insurance payout, if there was any life insurance in place, it seems a bad debt is enough to make people think in crazy ways, remember the bloke who killed his wife and kid because he could not bear the shame on them.

Very Sad, whatever the cause, for both drivers.

Anyone can do selective quoting…

He said: “I do not believe the crash was an accident. Having eliminated other causes it cannot be ruled out this was a deliberate act by Mr Ordak.”

I would be very suprised if they did, the ACPO charging threshold is 46 mph in a 40 mph limit.

Oh yes !! And also put thier own slant on the facts, i.e…

the Polish driver who owed large amounts to the local council and landlord despite raking in large amounts of cash

See what i did there !

Up to individual police forces whether they allow such leeway or not. Vocational license holders are generally given less tolerance anyway as “should know better.”

i`ve been done for 34 in a 30 on at least one occaision…in derbyshire

Not good, wondered why the women ■■■■■■ off, perharps she paniced.

Nasty, I think maybe the female witness could be traumatised or in a bit of a state of shock after witnessing that, maybe that’s why she shot off.
