Why the hatred?

All the Stobart drivers that I met have been helpful and nice geezers, I asked for help and got it, when I had just started driving artics, there was no real ■■■■-taking, but there was banter that was initiated by myself, I do like having a laugh, life is far too short to be serious.
Never had understood the anti feeling on here about stobarts, I have observed the threads and comments, but always veiwed them as being childish, unproffessional and a tad sad.

There are all kinds of individuals out there, driving for many companies, I often find that if you are cheerful, polite and like a bit of banter without being nasty, then others are reciprocal in a similar way…I even try to make light of it when drivers maon about everything, which many do, they are their own worst enemies if you ask me :open_mouth:

If you dont like something, try and understand why, then you have the opportunity to change it, if you cant, just get on with it…Dont moan and whinge and make everybody elses life a bloody misery. :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

i work for stobarts and enjoy it the money is decent enough for me £400 take home for 60 hrs

That’s not even £7.00 an hr :open_mouth: they’re extracting the urine out of you :exclamation:

I’m not a driver and my take home is £360 for a 37 hour week!

Take home (NET) of £400 for 60 hours would be an average of just over £8.50 per hour (GROSS).

I don’t like them because their livery is green

That is all.

I don’t like them because they don’t have a depot near me!!! If they did I would jump at the chance to work for them. Be a nice pay rise too

As for all the “I won’t get out of bed for that money” merchants…Don’t bother coming to the west country as you will be on the dole

this is my take on it i hate the ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■ not the drivers but the company to ask a man to work for the min wage is a disgrace i was offered a full time job with them in Dublin hourly rate was 8.65 euro a kid working in McDs flipping burgers gets 11.50euro.
whats wrong with paying a decent wage? that you can live on why break your balls doing 60/70hrs a week to earn a decent living and anytime i see an advert by them looking for professional drivers it makes me laugh.

but a kid working in mcds works a sight harder than a driver, they cant crash out in there bunk for 4/5.6 hrs at a time     ,they cant pull in a layby when they want, feet up,paper ,coffee.

Yes, that’s fair comment, I intensely dislike DHL drivers because their bright, budgerigar-like uniform hurts my eyes in the morning

I think football supporters and players are complete tossers, every single one of them

Doesn’t make them all wrong though

I know what you mean, they can be hard work at times! My top line is about £490 a month. Which is not too bad for what we do.

Honestly, that is not good

Oops! Thanks for spotting my deliberate mistake, I meant a week.

There’s nothing to the jealousy rumours believe me; in fact i feel sorry for the poor [zb], being stupid enough to work for a firm where peope at the so called ‘upper level’ are as thick and ignorant as anyone you care to mention.
The fact that they don’t take part in fuel protests knowing that if small firms go backrupt they can move in like smarmy lowlife tossers and then pay the existing driver ■■■■ poor money has nothing to do with :exclamation:
How do i know this? used to work there  before i put two brains cells together and left :exclamation:

I dont have a problem with Stobarts and infact Im probably one of those rare people who wouldnt mind working for them, Im not doing the job for money Im doing it because its something Ive always wanted to do since I was a lot younger…
If they had a depot anywhere near Basingstoke though…

you are a ■■■■ are you not i work for the love of the job , what a fanny

Happy New Year to you too…

Yeah !! Lets totally discount the theory that they might be the most efficient, well planned operations in both their fields !!

You are a very SILLY man.
