I was following an Axor pulling a decker on the M5 this morning.
Every time I tried to overtake he put his foot down, could not be arsed with his antics so I backed off a couple of clicks and let him crack on.
We got to the hill before Frankley Serv n.bound, I was only half freighted so I caught him up and pulled out to overtake towards top of bank.
I got passed his cab +half a truck length, looked in mirror no flash, which is fair enough…up to him…couldn’t give a toss etc etc .
As I indicated my INTENT to return to lane 1, I noticed he had accelerated and reached level with my back door, obviously intending to undertake me. I made NO attempt to pull back in watching him the whole time, so what does he do…He reacts as if I have cut in on him (something I never do as it ■■■■■■me off big style when done to me) does a heavy brake and starts flashing his ■■■■lights at me.
I made a point of still being in lane 2, and moved back in gradually.
By this time he was well behind me.
He caught me up and I signalled to go into MSA, for a 15min kip, …and tbh to give him a chance to follow me in and (try to) have a go at me, he did not.
I politely flashed him in, and he pulled in sharp, again…agressively in lane 1 to make a point.
Why do some drive in this style, chill out, think of your blood pressure ffs.
Should have had a dash cam recording. then you could have posted it on one of them site… naming and shaming… its ■■■■■■■like him that cause accidents
Always get those who seem to always drive aggressively, but they are only ever one bad move away from an accident…best thing to do is blow them a kiss as you pass them, they absolutely love it
Unfortunately we see antics like that on a daily basis. It’s one of the reasons I no longer drive on the limiter. I sit at 53 and leave the wacky racers tribe to it
It was Pimpdaddy.
Struggling to get used to the throttle with a full load of carrots.
Were you driving a Volvo or Scania 700+hp bling machine? If so he was probably just ■■■■■■off he had an Axor for the next three years…

I drove an Axor tractor unit yesterday, I don’t see the problem with them. Sure they are billy bob basic but there wasn’t anything glaringly wrong with them. Even the much fabled Powershift wasn’t a problem for me. Yes its only the tractor and it would most likely be different with a trailer on but I don’t see why people hate on them so much.
Another brain dead lorry driver. His time will come like all the rest.

Its twerps like that is one of the reasons i’m against automatic lorries, i’ll guarantee if old school gearboxes were still the norm that the vast majority of numpties like Robroys new bestest mate in the Actsore wouldn’t be in the job.

Agree in principle Juddian you mean the dumbing down aspect.
Don’t really want to go back to Eatons, Fullers, Spicers etc and the like (maybe unlike you ) but I will say the job needs some other selection type method to sort the men from the boys, and chuck out the ■■■■dregs who make us all look like ■■■■s.

I have similar views Strangely.
See this in the car too though eh? Sat on cruise at 70 (honest officer) and the middle lane warriors overtake you going down hill; and fall back going uphill. Clearly the physics of drag vs velocity etc are not transmitted to right foot in order to adjust engine load as required…
Oh, and the same drivers seem unable to change lanes either.
I regularly encounter twerps like these.
I can only think it’s because said twerps don’t like being overtaken by a 15 year old Scania going like a steam train.

Get on!
I was watching the battle of the boxes yesterday morning on the M25 at 5am the one in lane 1 was doing 56mph, the one in lane 2 was doing 56.2mph & then the box in lane 3 must of been doing 56.5mph

No surprise probably also zb car driver makes an even worse truck driver when given a truck to drive.
To which the answer of the industry is let’s attract more of the zb’s by ditching Fullers for Autos.
Theirs to many of them â– â– â– â– â– â– about for my liking sitting on your tail for miles ellnd

Quite.
Why the industry seems hell bent on dumbing itself down ever further as it becomes blindingly obvious that it’s not working i’m buggered if i know…maybe those who are in charge of the race to the bottom could explain, hope they’ll answer quick because it feels like Britains race to the bottom in all things, not just transport, is nearing the finish line.
Is this your work mug Juddian?
