Why couldn't they just of remembered too pick up the loads

Got rung up and asked if I could go in and pick a load up as they had forgot to pick 2 loads up,I explained I wouldn’t be able to get it back as I didn’t have enough driving time to do it ,was told get back to other depot.
So goes in too get load and told to park up with other truck and wait until 3 rd truck arrives as they’ve sent in 2 4x2 instead of 2 x 6x2 ,so now waiting for a 6x2 unit and then split the 2 loads between the 3 trucks .
1 hr goes by and no sign of 3 rd truck so walks too office too be told as before ,can’t load until 3 rd truck arrives,then phone rings and planner says are you loaded,3 rd trucks there,loaded and place is closed :confused: :confused: ,so I said it’s not closed ,there still loading trucks,office is open and I can’t see a 3 rd truck,so goes over and asks office,bloke said of course were open ,and there is no 3rd truck here ,so rings back planner and he now says driver is lost ,they can’t give him any instructions as he doesn’t speak a word of English ,can I help them by ringing him and talking him,in :confused: ,if you don’t understand him how do you think I am,so planner says get driver in other truck there to ring him and give him instructions,but he doesn’t speak a word of English ,I’ve already tried talking too him,after 1/2 of trying I finally got through too him and he rang his mate ,2 mins away ,1 hr later he arrives ,so that’s nigh on 3 hrs wasted ,so goes over and tells office bloke were now all here and can we please get loaded ,sorry mate will do soon,but were now loading pineapples .
Eventually get loaded ,hammered it and ran out of hours 1 hr short ,told too drop loaded tri so other driver can get it and get some kip,he arrived just as I was about to shut my eyes ,knock on door,where is paper work ,I explained too him one of the other drivers who started a lot later and could get back was bringing it,I didn’t have time too wait ,obviously it was lost in different languages,no paper work and I can’t take trailer ,I must admit by then I’d had enough,night out,no gear ,■■■■■■ about ,and he finally lit the touch paper ,last seen connecting and zb off with the tri as fast as he could .
I’m falling out of love with truck driving,it should be so easy,2 loads too pick up,heavy loads ,so you send in 2 6x2 trucks ,it just seems so simple too me ,but it just ends up in total chaos ,I mean how do you send out drivers too do jobs you can’t even communicate with ,I think they said he was lost in Portsmouth for nigh on 2 hrs ,but nobody could help him as nobody could understand him,or him understand them .
I guess he’ll get the blame for it all,I was so ■■■■■■ with him,15 hrs,night in a tin box,no night out gear ,but really the fault lies at the people who are meant to organise the job ,the even lie ,he’s there ,he’s loaded ,the place is closed and he’s really lost .

Everything that should be simple always ends up screwed up, and it always happens on a friday.

Although I would never have kipped in a cab with no gear, hotel or home or told in advance to bring gear just incase.

No-one to blame but yourself. You keep working for crappy companies like Stobrats as you do and this ■■■■ will keep happening. Get a proper job elsewhere. Stobbies only employ thick ■■■■■ that can’t do the job as your post once again proves.

I came off that work after 2 weeks,containers are not for me ,what was explained as a-b- a became a-b- x,y,z .
Now on a job that should be a-b-a every day ,but due too there total in competence ends up a - b- xyz

No I was tipping at Southampton so as they’d forgot to pick up 2 loads out of Portsmouth they sent the nearest trucks ,that’s fair enough even though you should not be forgetting too pick up loads ,but then what followed when I got there was a joke ,how the hell can you allow out drivers in your trucks that no- one can communicate with ,and don’t get me going on the blatant lies thet were comming up .

Yeh, and some drivers (not mentioning any names like :wink: ) bring all this sort of stuff upon themselves, being that they come across as being as thick as pig ■■■■ , when they do not listen to advice and never learn, because they always know better…just saying.

I’d love too be making it up ,but sat at mmd ( Ffyes) for hours on the docks at Portsmouth and a night out at Cherwell valley ,£24.50 ( £9 meal voucher) says I’m not .
I’m moaning due too there total incompetence too do a simple job ,then too ask me too talk in a driver that there not able to talk too due to language barrier beggars belief ,to tell you he’s there,loaded ,and the place is shut ,when he’s lost inmportmouth smacks of they’ve completely lost the zb plot .
I make no bones about it I don’t want the hours,I don’t want nights out ,but I will if something beyond there control has gone wrong,breakdowns etc .
But this was just crap ,beyond belief ,.
It just seems very day ,you have too pull them out the ■■■■ ,get someone in the t.o who knows what there doing ,get drivers in the trucks you can communicate with .

And the following morning they tell me too pick a load up of one of our depots ,it’s set at 2 temps but when the give me pod it says one ,I query this be told it’s 1, so whys it set and running on 2, it’s not ,it is I’ve just checked it ,and why have you given me a pod for tri f--------, when I was told too pick up tri ------, t.o goes into,meltdown ,driver just feels like shooting himself ,night out,tired and they can’t even sort out a simple correct trailer ,I don’t whether you say tosses ,they just don’t seem up too the job ,incompetent .
In the end they’d given me wrong tri too pick up,wrong pod ,
2 hrs later I finally get the right tri .
Get too tesco and the ref number they gave me has apparently been used by a previous driver ,heart sinks

Getting lost for two hours in Portsmouth is easy, there’s three roads into Portsmouth and two of them join together at the bottom. The middle one splits in two that run southwards and there’s one across the middle of the island. Perhaps it’s not so easy if you English is not as good as it could be but docks is a fairly common word in the the trucking world and it’s always spelt the same…
