Who would be perpared to do a mass sick day to support the tanker drivers?
The tanker drivers don’t need any support. This fight is theirs to lose.
Would they all have a mass sick day if all the container drivers went on strike? Or what about all the curtainsider drivers?

Im all for the tanker drivers strike…however they alone must fight to keep THEIR conditions.

Would you turn down £45,000 per year to do your job and tell the management, “No thanks, you keep it. I’m paid enough.”? I know I wouldn’t.
The attitude of drivers in general ■■■■■■■ stinks. Overpaid because they’re on more money than most? They’re on roughly double what I’m on. Am I jealous? No. Would I take a job on £45,000 per year if offered? Hell yes!
As for would I take a sick day in protest with all other drivers? If all, and I mean all, HGV drivers did it to prove a point, then I would too. Otherwise no, it’s meaningless. Drivers being drivers, we’ll never get a consensus so no, I shan’t be taking a sick day.

Nope one of my jobs is to deliver to petrol stations and i have to say apart from one or two of the drivers i have met over the years , they are all jumped up idiots ,so no would not loose any money for them.Have to say glad i am on my other contract for the next few weeks as the garages look a nightmare at the mo.
No, holding folk to ransom is wrong in my view.

No way
No! But they have a good cause similar to agency supermarket bods. Tanker firms same as supermarkets are refusing to take on perm staff instead using agency which aint so good for the driver to say the least

I they did, they would have gone on strike years ago in order to get everybody else in our industry the same pay and conditions as they have enjoyed for many years…
