Just a quick roll-call for those out of work or expecting to be out of work as we go into next year.
Me, obviously. Anyone else?

Yes, looking at the news I would say that Santa Claus Warehousing and Transport is not having as good a week as it was hoping to
All the people that did their xmas shopping early will be getting all high and mighty now…I told you so’s will be ringing out all over the country, lot’s of lastminute.com people (men) will be feeling rather sheepish I imagine
MEEEEEEE! But out of choice, perfectly happy thanks - sorry to anyone who finds themselves so not out of choice though
Yes I will be out of work, anything going into Europe, as I live in France, willing to travel.
Sapper
After this week probably me as well … but ah well!
i am also out of work as i had a little argument with the boss and he did not like what he heard.
so i am treating the rest of the year as a holiday and start looking in the new year.
My son !. He decided that £250 per week ( 7 days on / 2 off ) shift on heavy recovery wasn’t enough for him to support him & his partner & baby in the New Year so has jumped ship & is going to the agencies .
Good luck boy !

Hi all.theoretically me too as the big mining company has given out new contracts for the new year and the spedition we pull for has lost work.but asking my boss he said, whoever takes the contract they need trucks and drivers, maybe we paint the trucks and put other stickers on.even if that doesn’t happen i have already had two phonecalls offering me work.added to that, they are opening another mine near to the finish border and combined with the shortage of people we already have ,they think that some of the guys from kiruna and gällivare will go to the new mine to be nearer home as many come from the border area.so it’s not all doom and gloom.take care.mike

Me and two others as of 31st December. Enhanced redundancy cushioned the blow a little. And to top it all I had a big operation a couple of weeks ago and won’t be fit till around March. Still eh, at least I have this place to entertain me
Chins up and stay positive!
Me too, but not really bothered anymore.
good luck after Xmas to all those who ARE seeking work.
Obviously me for a while longer
