I donāt normally see Bigvernās posts because heās on my ignore list, but as it has been quoted in a subsequent post it has appeared and Iāll respond to it.
It seems bizarre to me to suggest that if HMRC say that you are entitled to a substantial amount of money, that there would be a cause for pride in telling them that you didnāt want it.

I have never claimed for anything. Donāt even know where the local jobcentre/ DSS office is. My wife looks after my accounts and I have never had an outstanding tax bill yet. I must be doing something right. I may claim one day if a failing business venture occurs. Pride comes before a fall. And it WILL fall.

Thatās the thing with a forum itās a place of free speech. Well unless you rub the mods up the wrong way. I look on the boards and if I see a certain name il look even if the thread doesnāt interest me as that person usually has an interesting take on things.
I donāt think it has anything to do with where they live if you donāt agree with what they have to say.

Itās only certain Ex-Pats he doesnāt like 
Itās a shame, not that you donāt like certain people, thatās just part of life, but that you donāt follow a thread that previously interested you just because someone you donāt like has posted on it, even if you disagree with their views, you get a balanced view by looking at all the different opinions, even if disagreeing with their posts only confirms your own initial view 
Thereās a few lorry loadās of people on here that I wouldnāt ā ā ā ā on if they caught fire (unless Iād been drinking petrol) but I still read their stuff, itās called having an open mind, itās the way you learn new things, thatās how I see it anyway

I am definitely a stuck record about certain things, a prime example would be this thread, my opinion is that anyone who posts about having nightās out and uses the old cliche about earning more stacking shelves or flipping burgers is trolling
