Age 57. :sunglasses: Got licence in 1966 in Army. :smiling_imp: was Recovery Mechanic, learned to drive in 3 tonner then straight onto Scammel wrecker. Got Grandfather rights in 70,/71,came out of Army into BRS and been at it ever since with various companies, some good some bad. Couldn’t do anything else. Probably too thick but then again, as a truck driver you have to be …a secretary (paperwork)… accountant(fuel,mileage,POAs)…diplomat (customers)…mechanic(defects)…lawyer(regulations,old bill,VOSA) and probably many more.

into my 11th year of driving.

30, passed my car test in '92, LGV class 1 and 2 june 2002 (took my class 2 test the same time england beat argentina in the world cup :slight_smile: ), this thread makes me feel young!

im 32 been driving for 6 years i used to a plater / welder and lived in southampton for 3 years working in all the shipyards down there til i got sacked out of all of them. now ive just started on the agencys for stobarts.

Bike licence since 99
Class 2 since December 2003
Class 1 since March 2004.
I passed all of them 1st time I hasten to add :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:
but with my class 1 track record you would nt have thought it

No class 2 experience,but been driving class 1 for 7 months.
I usually have a banana and some Muesli for breakfast,and take a dump around 10
I have 2 cats,Molly and George and a missus called Dusty and a 2 year old called Monkey Boy
