I didn’t go anywhere much this week, but I have been writing for Transport News, which means mentally taking myself to Scotland….Does that count?

Not for me, it ain’t. 
Day runs all week as my motor went into the DAF doctor on Monday afternoon. They bought a batch of 20 , 10 of which don’t have diff locks (well, obviously they do, but there was no switches etc to engage them) which is kinda problematic when we tip in farmers fields quite often.
Sorted now anyway.
Due to a few boat delays I was a bit behind so got my delivery done in South East Poland a couple of days late. Sat near Hanover having breakfast right now before getting the Hoek of Holland boat home tonight.

Had starter motor die on Tuesday in Felixstowe docks luckily in the THA area fix in there road side
Easy week this week not as far south as I usually do.
Wed did a 100 mile radius run, back empty to load, was gonna do a 15 but thought sod it, and stopped at Stoke to watch Newcastle in the Carabo Cup…we won btw..
Thurs 2 drops Bristol area, then Wanstrow (Shepton Mallet) ….via the 20 mile detour to miss the bridge 
, then luckily got another drop off at Shaftesbury just in time before they closed, then stopped at Podimore off A303 for the night.
Fri 1 drop Cullompton, I in Highbridge.
Waited 3 hours at Avonmouth to get loaded, parked again at Stoke,.and ran back in this morning back at yard for 11am job and finish….44 hour week.
Decided Saturday is my favourite working day, whilst lounged back in seat running home, on cruise control,.2 Gregg’s Coffees en route, listening to Bon Jovi on full volume just below the pain barrier.
Had to read this again - thought you were saying a new starter at your company had died in the docks!

I’ve been on the M6, which is no surprise as it’s my patrol route.
M6 anywhere South of Lancaster and M42 are as bad , or worse, than M25.Generally prefer to use A5,515,523 etc the problem is that increasingly others agree.
Was up your way Monday and Tuesday private family trip to see Bamburgh Castle stopped at Whitby on way there.Stayed Alnwyk Monday tried local beer decided they really really do need some Youngs and Fullers.
Home late Tuesday night.
Thursday did return run York.Then Friday return run near Bridlington.Two crossings Tyne Tunnel 3 crossings of Humber Bridge.With some big diversions to miss the A1 basket case 46-44 on Tuesday night and obviously the Black Cat junction comedy show.
