Where is the wage increase?

Just as “low information voters” supposedly returned Biden with the biggest winning vote tally over Trump in 2020, despite Trump getting the biggest vote tally of any sitting president seeking re-election…
…“Low information Jobseekers” - think £9.00 is the “going rate”, because they are pig-ignorant of the actual fluctuations in the REAL jobs market.

Think if you were an EE recently arrived in the UK… All your countryfolk already here - are doing minimum waged jobs left, right, and center…
You don’t get to see outside your “Shed with a bed” abode on the farm/factory/whatever, and since you don’t live in a council place, you don’t have any contact with the authorities, neither.

Maybe “Employer” is mickey mousing your entire working contract?

Either way, - you see an ad in the press - you take it for Gospel.

The only thing that surprises me here - is why they didn’t bother to put “English need not apply” and put the ad in Romansh, Polska, etc. instead…
UK firms advertise thousands of jobs in Romania despite growing jobless toll | This is Money

Yeah but biden got more votes than trump - practically a landslide.

Yep, and Clinton also got more peoples votes than Trump in 2016. (He won on the Electoral College system. Yknow the system he failed to endorse…until it fell in his favour)

Yep, and Clinton also got more peoples votes than Trump in 2016. (He won on the Electoral College system. Yknow the system he failed to endorse…until it fell in his favour)

He did endorse the election - but with one single proviso…

Between 10 and 12 million “extra” votes were produced "on paper"to get Biden’s vote tally past Trump’s, with the polls being held open long enough so the authorities knew what Trump total they had to surpass (made of mostly in-person votes)
Trump was ahead in all the swing states UNTIL the late votes that started appearing after the expiry time started to be added to the total… Anywhere that Trump was still slightly ahead despite this “mail in ballot surge” - the polls would be held open just a little longer to ensure Trump got overtaken… No election in history before ever had an election held open for vote counting beyond the “count-by deadline”.
Thus, the election was rigged on multiple levels, and that’s before you start talking about voting machines illegal to be connected to the internet - were visibly switching one in so many votes from Republican to Democrat in areas like Arizona, Nevada, and anywhere else where the result was expected to be “close”, and thus any election observers could be fobbed off with any casual made-up story necessary to get past a full physical audit.

It’s already established facts btw, but now it is too late to do anything about it.
It is also unlikely that there will be the political will to prevent exactly the same system now-entrenched, system from being used in 2024 as well. For Trump to overcome it - he’d have to poll over 80pc of the vote in a turnout of over 80pc as well, which isn’t going to happen, alas.

The only way Trump can win with a poll between 51% and 79% is if Mail In Ballots are send on the same telegraphic system that Banks use for money transfers - thus ensuring that there are “no duplicates”, because there would otherwise be a electonic trail you could drive an artic through…
“Not going to happen” though - is it?
The Estblishment won - and enough of the mainstream population (40%) are happy for it to end that way, and Trump to disappear into the history books as a mere “abberation” of political history.

The remaining “What If” - is if disgruntled Trump haters, unhappy at getting no free stuff they were promised by 2024 - decide to switch their votes to independent candidates in their locale, just to give the establishment the poll drubbing they deserve.

The first sign of that would be the mid-terms a year from now.

If the Independents get a strong enough showing, I can see Trump ditching the Republicans, and standing as an Indepdendent, who don’t actually have a “leader” of their own, don’t forget.
The voting machines, and other devices - are confirgured to switch Red to Blue or Blue to Red - not anything involving switching “Independent” or other third-party vote. Thus, anyone voting Indepdent in next year’s mid-terms or in 2024 - actually has one vote counted once, rather than switched, double counted, counted even if you are dead/tourists/illegal as well.

That’s a big hill to climb, and it stands up fine (i.e. - the establishment still wins) providing they don’t lose any of their younger people that were expected to take over from Biden and his older ■■■■ entourage.

Imagine the upset that would be caused for example, if Biden should now outlive Harris… Natural Causes of course!
People think that it has been set up for Harris to take over from Biden, should he succumb to natural causes… They are both cardboard cutout candidates though!

Romansh, Polska, etc. instead…

Because I’m a pedant, I wanted to point out to you that Romansh is actually a Swiss language and nothing to do with Romania

@Winseer: well said.

As for wages - if people keep accepting rubbish, they’ll keep offering it. Say NO.

We got a decent one at our place but I think it was driven on what companies around us were putting there’s up by,it was a national thing negotiated by the union, some depots didn’t get what we got as they were on a different crack already…

Pure nonsense this, don’t forget your tin foil hat

Not wage realted as such but anybody know what this means referees to. From nationwideplatform services. In Warrington.
Vacancy as class 2 drivers.
But says plenty overtime as plant operating no tacho? Surley you use a tacho to deliver it to site?

Extreme flexibility, yeah from the driver not from the company :exclamation:

About all i can see for what you may call a wage reduction is a local company advertising for tankers drivers , £900 pw , they’ve now a advert for class 1 drivers ( tramping ) , £500-£700 pw
Not sure if it’s a wage reduction or maybe the £500-£700 pw is general not tankers

Juddian:
There will always be the otherwise useless/unemployable who no sensible employer would touch with a bargepole.

Not so sure about the EE lads being the target of these ads (again unless utterly useless), the many i know are well switched on about the realities of work/pay/life and up to date on communications, more so than most of the natives.

They’ll get the standard of driver they deserve, which will end up costing them probably far more than paying a decent rate and cherry picking from worthwhile applicants, bodyshops will gain, compensation lawyers will gain, the company will lose out as will their customers, the otherwise unemployable driver having added to the trail of destruction left in his wake will move on to the next no hope job.

Completely agree, there has been this myth peddled for years that “they” will work for less, the opposite is more likely to be true.

I would hazard a guess its for a truck mounted cherry picker rather than delivering self propelled ones.

1 min they claiming truck drivers are getting paid more than solicitors and the next McDonald’s workers are paid the same as truck drivers.
It’s insane.

Some bloke on LBC tonight said he was talking to some high-up from Arla, and was told their milk tanker drivers are on £78k a year :unamused:

I know the establishment are desperate to train drivers, but they really need to tone down these ridiculous claims, because people really are believing it.

It’s a boom lift (cherry picker)
classed as plant no tacho required.

‘‘up to £630 per week’’, £9 p.h. works out to 70 hours per week; ad sounds legit

Still got the old WTD though - the ad is a bit misleading - as far as I know only electric, gas, water and emergency workers are completely exempt, bunging up factory roofs and shop fronts doesn’t qualify.

It wont be the transport WTD, just the bog standard WTD which can be oped out of.
