hello friend do you remember andy cb handle honeymonster

Rings a bell mind there were lots of us with the same handle met 2 of me up north  when i started on class 1 many moons ago
The pics at truckfest were when Lewis Collins from the Proffesionals did the opening cant remember the date but its gotta be 20 + yrs ago
There was a young lass in a wheel chair that had broken her leg, think her old man was in the A1 truckers club, well she didnt get to see Mr Collins and we Just saw him get into the Range Rover to be whisked away, well this little girl was gonna see Mr Collins so of we go beltin down the track.
Well I’m buggered they stopped and he got out had his pic taken with her and signed her cast Top Man :sunglasses:

Hi Nick, the S24 ended up being converted to a Dump Truck and went a firm that ran an assorted collection of S24s including the Wards Bros unit that featured in various mags in the 80s. and a Scammell Multidrive, just cant remember the bloody name of em!! ITLL COME TO ME. I think the Dennis may be one of the 13 that ran on the Hinchcliffe,Bury fleet in the 80s, think they had an ERF painted in the same colours. The blue White Road Commander 2 was owned by Geoff Gilbert and was used on international fridge work, and i think that i read somwhere that it still survives in a barn??

That blue scania has it got terminator graphics on other side?

the dennis rigid looks quite well, why did they not sell more?

No Joshh its a pic of a V8 engine. Think the truck was from france.

HI Glenman, i dont know why they didnt sell more, Hinchcliffe loved em, they Gardner 180s in them (standard fit was a 150 Perkins). There was a test match in Truck Magazine and it was pitched against a 16.15 Frieghter, the Dennis came through with flying colours! They said that the boxy cab was very comfy, spacious and warm place to work. Wouldnt mind finding one for resto project, thier well rare now.

They sold loads of them, all red with blue lights on the roof

Hi. just a note of interest, the red black and white WHITE truck in BJ and the bear paint design, is reg CCR468W. belonged to Fred Lay of Glemsford Suffolk who wrote it off in the early eighties, We bought it in 1985 with a bent chassis and no drive axle, rebuilt it, and sold it on, we have pics if of interest. I saw the cab in a yard in Earls Colne Essex about 8 years ago, so that one is gone!!!

The terminator Scania was a 6x2 and was a darker shade of blue - to my knowledge it was based up in the north of Scotland and then bought by Gary Banham (Romantiek) and later by Jobe Transport, don’t think it’s the same truck as that one. There are some pics of it somewhere on this forum posted by Jobe.

At the risk of going off topic slightly, for which I apologise, I’ve scouted around and found out more about terminator - which is pictured below when it was run by Jobe:

The p;ost on Scania Centurions - Scania Centurions - #107 by roger_breaker - TRANSPORT PHOTO FORUM (MEMBERS ONLY) - Trucknet UK - mentions it, and apparently as Crispy says it was run by at least 2 people from north Suffolk on bulk work (David Lee is the name somebody mentioned??) before going to Humphreys and then presumably on to MGH and Jobe. Nobody seems to know where it is now, so maybe it’s a candidate for its own ‘where is terminator now’ thread??
