Where are the euro job

I liked Noel, always treated me fairly when i was in the UK. never fell out with anyone and didn’t get sacked.
took some time off to get married and have honeymoon, Noel said he’d send a driver to Cardiff West services to pick me up, waited and waited getting later and later so i rung noel and he said the drivers run out of time in Monmouth :open_mouth: who runs out of time on Nolans, so i went home and never went back, got a job in Cardiff the next day.

They had funny turns like that though didn’t they, he would on occasion ring up and ask how many hours I had left!? I got on alright with Noel, which saved me I suppose.

A couple of the web sites that are hiring say ‘must be up to date with cpc’
dose that mean you have to have one , well i dont

They implement the rules differently in Ireland. Over there its a legal requirement to do one day a year, this doesn’t apply to someone holding a UK licence as we can still drive an Irish truck and abide by the cpc rules in the UK but most companies over don’t realise this and just have a sweeping ‘must have cpc’ clause.

Do you have a cpc?
Do all the UK driver you know in irland have one?

No I don’t and not many of our UK drivers do but it took one a lot of effort to make the company realise we don’t need them yet. It’s easier for any company to apply the rules of their own country to all employees

well i dont have one myself
so i guess that me out of the frame for irish work

What is the money like on irish firms ?. With the euro at 90p it must look rather good in sterling terms doesn’t it ?.
