When you nearly miss your exit

But make it just in time, with some slight damage…

Had a few near misses there tbh. Although clearly marked up ( the Stobbies did nothing wrong before the haters start), it does kind of lure those who are leaving the M62 westbound to go on the M1 northbound into being in that right hand lane at the wrong time.

I imagine that the tool in the Gregory motor made the usual car driver mistake of assuming that the Stobbies motor would be slow away from the lights and so thought he’d chance it.

Quite why the option of cursing 'cos he’d screwed up and then doing another lap of the roundabout didn’t occur to him we’ll never know.

Watched it a few times, sure there’s room for two but the stobbies is drifting over a lot almost from the start of the video.

Don’t wish to come across as a Stobby basher as the Gregory’s Muppet is driving at a standard below one would expect of a pro driver.

I’ve done worse and also the old, let’s go round again circle of shame many times.

That whole junction is screwy. Doesn’t matter which way you approach it.

Totally agree that there is room for two Dave, and if Gregory’s had been going to join M62 eastbound there would have been no problem save a few comments that the Stobbies lane discipline was a bit lax. However what the Gregory’s was attempting was in effect to turn left whilst in the right hand lane, so is 100% at fault.

You expect this sort of crap from car drivers, but when a fellow ‘pro’ truck driver does it what ■■■■ chance have we got eh? :unamused:

Ok Stobbies man was a bit lax, but that was utter ■■■■ poor driving by that Gregory knob.
As has been said he should have went on another lap of the roundabout, …but then he would have lost a whole 45 seconds in his day. :unamused: .
If he was a newbie who just panicked I suppose that would explain it.
If I had done something equally as ■■■■ stupid by sheer misjudgement, I would have been stopping at next lay by to apologise, or slowing down until he got alongside me to put my hand up in apology, it just diffuses the whole situation, avoids road rage. (and stops you moaning on here about it. )

Gregory was in the right. Compulsory to cut stobart motors up at every opportunity. Peanuts and monkeys.

Yeh, that’s what I really meant.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING VIDEO :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I mean, an Audi indicating off an island. This is unprecedented :astonished: :astonished: :astonished:

I reckon that Stobart driver was going straight on and only turned down the slip trying to bail out of the way.

I’ve done a lap of shame or two, it’s no big deal… until you ■■■■ up your lane selection and have to go back around again for a lap of extra shame!

Just to add; if I’d been the dashcam man I would’ve followed the Stobbies and offered him the footage for his insurance Co.

Think it may have gone against him

Makes a change from it being a Beamer driver :open_mouth:

The Gregory lorry looks like a sub contractor or owner driver. GDL fleet units are always brown.

Maybe if Stobby was using that thing called an indicator Gregs may have pulled off but even I would have expected Stobby to go left there and he was dithering across the line

Evening
No road markings, no indicators, Mr Stobbie was going straight on. (just like the camera vehicle).
Gregorys lose, too fast and in the wrong lane. 0/10, must try a lot harder, stay behind after work and revise the Highway code.
Cheers
Paul

I’m guessing he was going straight on. What indicator should he have been using?

What difference would use of an indicator have made? Gregorys man tried to cut in in a gap you’d struggle to fit a fiesta in, let alone an artic.
Even so, no indicator would suggest going straight on so how do you figure that a left indicator would have saved the day to prevent michael schumacher causing an rta? Even if he had his left indicator on A - gregorys wouldnt see it and B - he’d still have battered into him cutting him up
Dithering over the line he might have been but gregorys man should have held back in that instance, not ploughed on with his foot to the floor.
I know this site is full of stobbie haters but ■■■■ me, trying to apportion blame to him here is taking it a bit far

Any Gregory drivers on here?
Just wondering if Gregory’s have seen the you tube clip.

If you catch sight of the Gregory’s trailer just after it looks like it’s ripped,I’d say he hit the stobart unit so I’d assume Gregory’s would of been informed about what went on,I think that’s what made the stobart units veer left when the trailer caught him,I don’t think Mr stobart driver made that sharp turn willingly :open_mouth:
