This may be a silly question. But when/if all this working time directive thing is sorted out. How will we know when to start working to the new rules; and how will we know exactly what the new rules are?.
The new law doesn’t actually come in until the 23rd March next year…so that’s when we’ll have to start following it.
As for when we get the details, there is a final draft which came out on the 1st November. Whilst it is only a draft, it is unlikely to change significantly between now and when they produce the final version of the Regulations early next year.
There’ll be a “TruckNet Translation” of this draft going up in here very soon - hopefully this weekend - so watch this space!
