Great idea we buy loads of stuff off China that we can make for ourselves China then uses the money to do what Hitler couldn’t.IE China is just dressing up a similar plan,for world ■■■■■■■■■■ and taking whatever resources it wants to maintain its own similar totalitarian ■■■■ type regime,as so called ‘trade’.

Pound/ mile… terrestrial vs nautical, the megga container maritime vessels are getting bigger. Look at Maersk Line. No truck or fleet of could compete between major ports in Asia and UK. And think of the hassle with permits etc, etc.

More reason to think that China’s plan is based more on potential military and invasive objectives than just shipping containers from point A to point B.In which case it’s obvious that they wouldn’t want to rely on just naval power to do it as opposed to a combined naval and land action.
