When and where to shower?

Quick question, I work between 13 and 15 hours a day and I’m away all week. Company won’t pay for parking. I’m quite happy to park in dodgy laybys or ind estates. I do not have time to have a shower during the day. So who else of you have to go to the services have a shower then drive off (usually its quite late by this time) and find parking elsewhere?? And could I ask my company to pay for parking?

I’d get a new employer by the sound of it! You get 2 hours free parking in services! Loads of time to wash etc! But if like you say your pushed to the max on hours and struggle to find a decent services! Then I’d be looking for a new job!

If you don’t ask you don’t get so give it a go maybe you can compromise on him paying you to park 2 nights a week, just a thought really.

When and where to shower?

When - When you feel you are dirty enough to require cleaning

Where - Normally a cubicle that has warm to hot (sometimes cold) running water that lands on your head, often found in a washroom block

Do you not have any 45’s during the day?

When your tramping you make your time when you need it simple as.

Class!

We’re pushed quite hard but can always find time to shower, have a shower atleast once sometimes twice a day if theres some waiting time between jobs. As above unless you dont have breaks you can do it then, i can get showered in a 15 if needs be. Say you start at 0500 and plan on working till 2000, if you pass service at say 1600 you can have one then, doesnt have to be at the end of the day. Perharps stop early in the morning when the trackers not being monitered?

If you dont hang the job out why would your boss get ■■■■■■ about you stopping to have a shower, end of the day your representing his company.

 I’m sorry. I’ve read this quote on this forum often and I don’t understand it.

Why won’t transport companies pay for parking when their vehicles have to be away from their home base?
What’s the logic behind this crazy idea?

Because some bosses just like to screw every last bit of work out of you

And it’s [zb] expensive to park!

And it’s [zb] expensive to park!

it is but not half as expensive as waking up to a empty tank!! this happend to me on a1 coz ex boss a tight ■■■, i know it does go on in services aswell but not half as much risk as laybys ind estates etc.

It’s more expensive when the scouse slasher comes with his Stanley knife though to peer through your curtain though! :grimacing: :grimacing: little " L shape " ■■■■■ but big boxes won’t fit through that the thick RICHARD HEADS  :unamused:  :sunglasses:

Maybe he a leaner slasher

Or it could be a “L” Zorro called “Larry”
Hence the L in the curtain

Screw the job/load being on time, take care of no1…!

I just grab a shower when I can during the day usually during my 45 - I don’t really care when it is as long as I get one a day.

When doing euro work during the summer months i make a point of having a shower at least once everyday , although it can sometimes be an easier task because a lot of delivery points will have and allow drivers to use their showers ect, unlike this (zb) hole of a country

But as said make the time to go get your shower/or to eat
