It maybe to do with I said last week if I start at midnight I should be paid night money not from midnight - 6 am , but I can’t get hold of anyone to ask , or am I putting 2 +2 = 5 and its to do with night working / 24 hr clock or something , normally says start at midnight
It may be so that there’s no communication errors as to wether you start on what day of the week. By saying 1 minute past then it makes it harder to get confused as to the day you start.

This
Its just to differentiate one day from the next ie start sunday night/ start monday morning…
At a guess, I’d say whoever typed the time in may be ex military or police or similar, 0000 isn’t a time recognised( although youd guess at midnight) so most folks put either 2359 hrs or 0001 hrs, no confusion that way!!
that used to be a barronwood job, unless you have a fridge on asda grangemouth?
It means that you start at 6 seconds after midnight,EXACTLY
Dozy doesn’t Stobart pay the Sunday Night/Sunday rate till 23:59 on sunday and than it goes for 6 hours (from midnight-6 am) to night pay■■?
You work there and should know
I think they pay:
Monday-Friday 06:00-18:00 = day rate
Monday-Friday 18:00-06:00 = night rate
Weekends a little bit higher.
Anyway they probably want you start on Monday morning at 00:01 am.

Is you planner a part time employee at the summer/winter olympics at all? Just wondered why he/she is using 100th of a second
I didn’t think that Stobrats were that precise

But it doesn’t say which day to start at that time!!
I’ve always wondered, is there actually anyone who doesn’t know that 00:00 is the start of the day, not the end of it?!
00:00 for me would be the END of the day, not the start!!!
Purely on the basis that there are 24 hours in a day, the minute before the end of the day would be 2359 hrs, so that must make 00:00 the end…
If ya really wanna split it it’s neither the start or end, 2359.59 then goes to 00:00 which is the end, 00:00.01 is surely the start!!
Now I’m confused, I’ll stick with 2359 hrs being the end and 0001 being the start.
This really doesn’t get my thought across, please feel free to ignore my rambling!!!

This. I heard someone say most of Stobarts were special types, but I didn’t realise even the planners had been on the balcony etc etc
Start at 0001hrs Monday after the normal Dozy Friday rush to get back? Umm, no. Grow a spine and stand up to them, man. They only treat you like they do because you let them.
Your start times seem to be all over the place Dozy. Maybe find a better job?
Considering your willing to do the hours and seem happy to take any start time they throw at you I bet you could find a better paying gig easily.
I can just see his planner planning the ultimate.

The whole scenario would be alien to us and not something any driver i know could adhere to . Being given start times is treating drivers like kids. Hand out the paperwork with delivery slot times and let them decide how long its going to take to get there. Seems it would be akin to working in a zbing creche…
0000 is pretty well recognised at new year
it’s apparently to do with the system doesn’t recognise 00.00, the fact I put it down as my start time last week caused issues last week apparently even though that’s when I started , now got to put down 00.01 as start time and 15.01 as finds time ( can’t help themselves can they with there 15 hrs ) .
I’m booked at Grangemouth for 13.00
, could of started hours later and made that booking time comfortable , ta though for help

last time I did these start times ( midnight ) I was on tues - sat so even though I work for them I’m not sure how they pay a sun / mon - 6 am , but whatever to me midnight should be night money all night , but there insisting this is a day shift start time / and I’m a day shift driver
I did it before doing 7/8/9 hrs on tesco and had to come off it as I was a accident waiting to happen , so I’ll not stick 13/15 hrs doing midnight starts , it puts a lot of the jobs I’ve looked at in a different light

I’m a bit perplexed by all this , told planner have been instructed to cut costs , it’s Jan , slack period where they normally park you up at 12 hrs and yet they seem to be chucking the kitchen sink at some of us .
in answer to you ramblings , not a cat in hells chance of me running in ( I walk the length of the a1 first ) , extra shift , I’m 56 and I’m tired , as I said elsewhere 15 hrs starting midnight is a different level of tiredness to 5/6 am starts , I’ll not stick this , I don’t want to , but I might as well take a night shift job
