Average speed was a litlle higher than that - the Sprinters were consistently at over 150kmph average to meet the very tight timings set for the routes.
They were twin tanks Sprinter 315 and 318CDi which were changed on an annal basis 12 months or 225,000miles.

Ed, now I know they used to jog on a bit, I’ve been rocked as they flew past but I stand by my first statement, no way mate, you may have had a decent run through Belgium & Germany but you wouldn’t get away with it in Austria or Hungary & you would’ve spent time at the Austrian-Hungarian border so that knocks the driving time down to about 13hrs with a pee stop or two, the train, the border etc, that’s 100mph average speed & over your 15hr trip you will hit a rush hour somewhere along the way, no matter what time you left the Midlands.
Well in Europe at least, as your truck can legally go no more than 100kph (well just under, but it makes the maths easy), & you can only drive no more than 10 hours a day then the max you could possibly do is 1000kms., or 625 miles.

How much (just under 100kph
)can you get away with on the limiter then nowadays ?
Would be interesting to know what the LEGAL speed limit is for a hgv motorway with a limiter fitted - seems to depend on who you drive for imo
