Wonder how long before Rob K gets here and shouts at you for that Paul.
flatbedman:
im leaving myself open to ridicule here but,
i’ve had a stralis on demo all week and to be honest i could not fault it!
auto gearbox was amazing!
the engine brake was very clever also.
imho, there was more storage than my topline!
the table set-up was excellent!
lots more space to move around than my topline
like i said i could’nt fault it
it is seriously on my list of options to buy!cheers
paul
Paul you give a whole different meaning to the word NAIVE
Oh how I’ll laugh when you buy one and you start posting how all you’ve done all week is sat in the Iveco drivers waiting room waiting for them to fix it
KW:
The view from the drivers seat, same Scania.
A’int no stopping me now

What a picture
What do you mean, “the down road”
. The wagon looks like it’s already descending to me, so surely (as this section looks like a dual-carriageway) the other side is “the up road”
.
If it is the down road (deceptive picture angle) then that bridge across the ravine looks mighty scary in the dry and sunshine, what about snow, ice and fog
. Certainly a road demanding respect. That’s definitely not a road with a 40 limit I’d be going flat out on
(just to shut Ian up)
.

I ran one recently and was amazed at the improvements they have made to it, the interior was cheap but I will let it off given the overhall it has recieved.

Pah What does a woman know about wagons
Nothing obviously except the height of their wagon.
That is the up road Rob, two lanes going up, there is nothing the other side of the fence on the left except a long way down.Over at the right of the picture you can just see the down road hugging the rock face.

The down road is on the extreme right of the picture, you can just see the armco barrier against the rocks. The down road used to be the up AND down road years ago before the viaduct was built!
To the left of the viaduct is a sight not for the faint hearted.
The Nantua viaduct is also one not to look over if you are of a nervous disposition

Brilliant.

All roads in the UK should be like that; none of sitting on a flat M40/M11/M18/M180 for hours on end with nothing going on and nothing to look at. Would make the job soooooooooo much better
.
Meanwhile I’ll have to make do with my 'Oss-shoe Pass

True, and a ■■■■ scary drive it was too, Best to resist temptation to close your eyes tho.

Agreed, but well worth a look, if you’re brave enough.
I have photos of the same view, also taken from a Scania, but many years ago, and yet that area never ceases to amaze me.
Still think the Twingo is tops though, just to put the thread back on topic.
Kate
To keep it on topic yet embrace the new direction, imagine doing the climb in the Twingo Kate, be something special that would.

It’d never make it. It’d turn itself round at the bottom of the climb and curl up and die. Twingo=bird’s wagon. It’s like the truck equivalent of the Ford Street Ka.
chavenist muppet just wait till she sees you she got good right arm as found out ouch
i used to do that climb every week or so in my old twingo . pulling top weight sometimes too. low range
… used to warm her up a bit in t`summer
i see you got the tachos close at hand to throw out the window if need be

Bless him, leave him at horse shoe pass it’s a challenge for him!
The last village before St, Moritz takes a team of 4 people on foot, 1 at either end of the village, stopping traffic and 2 talking you through the village because a Scanny and 40ft trailer only just fits with the mirrors pulled in -20 and 2 meters of snow. I don’t know how I coped, me being a bird and all that!
Another one for you Rob,this time it’s the Nantua viaduct, heading from the Blanc.I remember back in the early 90’s when they were building the second viaduct,I’m glad I was’nt in one of those tower cranes they were using
y is this thread wider than the rest,or is it just my computer
no its mine too!! wierd!
