DADDY LONGLEGS:
never cooked in the cab in my life. Cooked chicken fae tosco or fish supper. Why would you want to ■■■■ about like that? Then all the washing. [zb] that. I have never understood why men ■■■■ about in lorries cooking a meal at night. Just go to pub or carry pre-packed stuff you can scoff. who do you think you are Jamie fnn oliviere?
Thetaff:
Mine usually consists of anything off the menu of the hungry horse establishments.
Do they still pile the plates high with peas and sweetcorn? Our local one is probably the worst place to eat in the whole town, which when you cosider that I live in Rhyl, is quite a feat!
They don’t in the one I go in,the food is very good there and pretty reasonable too.
A friend of mine lives of special K for breakfast and lunch, then a meal in cab at tea time.
Personally, when I pass my test, I will be cooking on a weekend things like chilli, pasta, cottage pie, curry etc, and warming them up during week in microwave in cab

when i’m doing european work, i get up early and have a brew, then after about 3 hours driving i’ll have bacon and eggs, then it plenty of fruit throughout the day. in the evening i’ll select from a delicious choice of stagg chilly, big soup, curry, or more bacon and eggs.
when i’m doing uk work, i’ll just take a sandwich.
the easiest way i found is cook up batches at home tub em and freeze em that way you can stick em in the fridge and warm as you go along this way your not limited to what you can cook and it can be as healthy as you want
although i do enjoy the odd feed in a good truckstop alconbury aint bad do a cracking chilli makes ya eyes water
