very varied menu then…
terriers my good man have you never seen switchlogics posts on in cab cooking? He is a bit to too stuck to post on trucknet now but he is a regular jamie oliver in the cab
I would aim the truck near a port, it would be much cheaper to cater for the dock workers or the staff from a marina, the meat would be cooked on an open fire, on a large skewer with a variety of meat to choose from.
A drivers menu in europe would be cheaper in rural areas, a taverna or resturant would be owned by the same generation of the family, all home made pies and puddings.
The worst food was where masses of coaches would pull in for their meals, mass produced meals with no taste and swimming in grease and fat.
The tripe stew in Normandy is the best, cows stomach, but very tasty.Pigs trotters is very popular but not much meat on the hoof.
Euro food is made with lots of garlic, so i never got a cold or the flu due the immunity boosting properties in the Allicin.
I never understood how the French could do a full days work on a croissant or pain au chocolate, ten minutes after that i was hungry again.

no i haven’t but i be sure to take a look at it… if it beat the bacon and egg sandwiches or tinned curry and rice then any things a winner haha
Just finishing off a Thai green curry with rice, I microwaved it all myself.

Here he is in action.
Try bachelors pasta n sauce with prawns or chicken in it,a bit messy at timesbut i like doing beef fajitas when im away, not hard to boil a few potatoes and a tin of stewed steak heated and poured over it makes a tasty healthy meal.
Do like a stir fry, quick and easy. With a locker full of straight to the wok noodles and a range of sauces I just add anything from chopped sausages to prawns. A side salad with quallity bread is nice oh and cheese cake for pud.
I’ve got quite a bad diet really but hey ho, normally have steak or sausages or battered fish with chips, lots of pasta dishes, chicken and bacon etc tonight i’ve had a tomato and mozzarella pasta bake, will have beans on toost with a nice bit of cheese on top once a week and this is always washed down with some cranberry juice .
I,m an old fashioned lorry driver, a Ginsters warmed on the dashboard then dunked in a pan of tomato soup will usually suffice
You have not lived until you have tried snails in garlic sauce.

Where do you buy snails fae in the uk or do you catch them yourself?
Snails in France, but im sure you could buy them somewhere in the uk or online.Mussels with a white wine such as Muscadet or Libefraumilch, that is a good one.
After meal digestif such as a Gognac or Hennesy to make you sleep well in the cab, or a Calvados,a strong apple liquer from Northern France.

I try to have as little bread as possible, stacked with calories (about 70 each slice). I tried wraps instead but each one is knocking on for 200 calories, that’s before you have put anything in it!
