What is the UK’S highest mileage working truck?
Road legal and still out on a daily basis.
I’ll start the ball rolling.
2001 Scania 124 420 Topline. Currently showing 1.5million kms.
I know there is a 142 out there still in daily use.

I passed a very tidy F reg 142 Scania on the A14 on Wednesday- pulling boxes I wouldnt be surpised if that been round the clock a few times- and there was an F88 on boxes out of Hull area until a year or so ago , again would probably put 1.5 million K’s to shame
a friend of mine has got a 1998 DAF XF SSC 4x2 that is well in to it’s third time round the clock
i wonder what Mr Weaver’s F88 has got on it now

there are a couple of 142/143 (steel bumper model) run out of the Birmingham area, they could end up on the M6 end of the A14 regular
was working one time for Argos.56 reg.was 980000km
This was the M11- A1 stretch of the A14 heading north with a sealed box on so guessing out of Felixstowe or Tilbury - didnt think to note the shipping line on the box
What about the youngest truck with high mileage, was on 58 reg last week with 979000 on clock

I drive a Merc Axor, have had it from new (61 plate, September 2011) & it’s currently on 115000k. How on earth has a 4 year old truck clocked up nearly a million ks? That would be nearly 3000 miles a week!!

Continental work would reguarly put 3,000km per week on a truck used to do multi drop starting in northern France and finishing in Lisbon Then back up to Caen if unable to get on the Santander
My 11plate Renault Premium has nearly done 370k. I only do around 100kms a day on locals in it but it does Glasgow to Leicester and back every night.

Quite easy for a truck to clock up that kind of mileage if it’s double shifted. 2 drivers doing 700kms a shift is 1400kms every 24hrs. That’s 7000kms per week. Taking into account time off the road for R&M, it’s possible a truck could clock up over 330000kms a year.
We have only just replaced a 57 plate scania wagon and drag with 980,000kms on it, was used for multidrop during the day and trunked at night.
Poor thing never hardly got a rest!

Where did you see me?:■■?: You might have introduced yourself. I might look stoopid in my big wooly hat, but it keeps me warm and I feel like an Ice Road Trucker with it on.

Is that all? At Hygena the wagons were run double shifted 7 days a week. They’d do what yours has done in 6 months.
This one is still on the road at forty years old.

So a truck is doing 440 (approx) miles twice a day? Not very likely in the UK mate!

Maybe, but mine isn’t double shifted! If my Auntie had a ■■■■…
