Passed the Crick depot the other day and the place was empty… I remember spending half an hour walking round the yard searching for my unit at the start of a shift because it was always full. What’s happening there?
crick depot is now closed…its about to be concreted over as there is a new sainsburys depot being built there.
stobart is now running out of rugby truckstop which they recently purchased.
welcome to the site, everyone bashes STOBRATS on here!
full agree.Docaster drivers must first blame Tesco.because if you was working for Tesco and have contract.so if Tesco give jobs for Stobart . first if you agree with Stobart termin and condition Tesco can transfer you to Stobart.if you not agree Tesco must pay you all what must pay follow you cotract.
This is what I originally thought until speaking to an ex Tesco Doncaster driver.
Turns out they weren’t offered any driving positions by stobarts there, only warehouse positions within Tesco.
I apologise to anyone I offended with my misinformed information from stobarts during the strikes.

I wonder what the logic was with that move? Was the land at crick worth that much that it warranted the buying of a business? I can’t see them being interested in the truck stop as a business.
i can , its to do with the Lease that stobart property signed ,to be the landlord in a few hundred esso petrol stations, and guess who is the tennent !!!
stobart biomass
stobart fuel !!!
Stobarts only used to have 2 tankers, just lately they seem to have a invested in several more, either that or they are that fast that they seem to be everywhere
I would be absolutely delighted if Knobarts went bust. They deliberately undercut everyone else in the industry knowing that they themselves were not going to be able to do the work for profit. Paying a proffesional driver £7.90 per hour in this day and age is unacceptable. ■■■■ them!

There were four parked at the bottom of Rugby truckstop Friday night. Hth
I deeply sympathise with anyone who loses a job but i dont think many in the haulage industry from drivers upto senior manager and company owners would shed many tears withregards stobarts if true they are in difficulty and possible job loses etc they can take a lot of blame for the deteriation in the haulage industry and the downgarding of the job of a hgv driver to what it is now.
I’ve just passed there yard at Chelford which was Irlams place, the other week it was full of Stobart tractors and trailers but now it’s empty! There was a lot of cars in there tho, must be getting ready for Redlorries.com
