Whats been your favourite place to night out?

Seeing as Im a newbie I have not been to many places but my favourite so far was down the north of the UK  in Teignmouth, I can see why 80% of the UK piles down that end of the country every chance they get.

You’re a bad man, you just want another ‘the front is the back debate’. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: how the hell is that zb word a zb word?

North/South is just an arbitrary direction and has no monopoly on up and down when looking at a map. Assuming you’re holding the map the right way up,

True, if you face north and and hold a map upside down then portsmouth would be at the north of the country not the south

If your driving career ever goes â– â– â– â– -up you have a long career in front of you as a traffic planner.

Its the only smiley I could find that indicates that my post is somewhat sarcastic.

A night out in the south Wales valleys does it for me every time

How much are the Welsh tourism board paying you?

About 22 yrs ago used to do a Scotch run from bristol on a Monday for a Tuesday morning tip in Glasgow and then run down to Preston town centre to a light bulb factory to load up for Merthyr, so I would load there and overnight at the factory and opposite was a pub and I ended up playing for their darts team either home or away nearly every Tuesday. Of course all good things come to an end but it was good fun whilst it lasted.

my favourite place tonite out is on the exit from wales i know im safe

lockerbie is a nice view on a morning.

The Anglia truckstop on the A17 was a favourite of mine and Nunney Catch was a good place to stop

How did you manage the away games?

Swidnik in Poland…Edge of a seldom used airfield, next to a load of abandoned helicopters.

Not sayin, everybody might end up there. Lets just say its in Bonny Scotland at the bottom of a mountain with a fresh water river running by it and space for three (artics that is) and no passing traffic for at least 20 miles either way.

As a night Tramper!! The quietest place is Norton Canes on the M6 Toll during the day!!!

I was given a regular route which took me over Clee Hill in Shropshire, used to park every Tuesday on the very highest point & remember standing outside till dusk with a feeling of total bewilderment that I was actually being paid for this.

The Job Knockeys changed my run to cover Hertfordshire & the first night I asked permission to park in the pub carpark of a very wealthy village, it’s main attraction was a horse in a paddock just outside my cabs window. Me & that horse soon became firm friends & every Thursday he’d be visibly quite pleased to see me park up.

Having been brought up with horses I could see he had a few ‘issues’ but the night I met his owner really made my day. Apparently I’m the only other person in the whole world that he’ll tolerate.

She wouldn’t relocate to Notts/Derbys so sadly when the route changed again we had to part.
