Normally i take home £385 give or take a little that for 55 hours guaranteed but rarely do more than 45, last week i done 6 days and cleared £495 because it was a Sunday i did at double time.
We get paid 45 at basic and 10 at time and a half, i think my basic is about £7.70 or thereabouts plus an extra £1.80 dark money 18:00-06;00 on top so just short of £10 an hour on nights and 2 hours EVERY night at time and a half.
We do very well for the area i am ■■■■■■ off the place is closing as its almost the best and easiest money i have ever earned.
Sat 1+1/2 but we cant do them (working nights its impossible),
Sun double time which we can do :):)…
Fowler Welch Coolchain Gateshead Depot pay £6.15 ph for first 8 hrs then £8.20 ph guaranteed 10 hrs per day they do deduct 30 mins off for your break as well.
As PMac says, name and shame as there is no difference whether you work days or nights its the same rate, and they wonder why they cant get or keep drivers.
Having said that OMT in South Shields is advertising on the Jobcentre Website for C+E Driver and offering £5.50 ph Its been there that long the adverts comes complete with dust on it
How much difference is there in the rates going self-employed, & are you talking Ltd company or Madison etc? The agency I’m with only pay 80p/hour on top if I was to go SE with them. Normal rates start at £10/hour up to £18 for a Sunday night run.

I get about 12% more than the other agency drivers. Claim back all my expenses etc so the tax gets reduced.
With this agency I don’t hand in an invoice but a time sheet and they send it through Nova Services
Hmm. What exactly do Nova do & what do they charge for it? I’ve currently got my own company which, according to the taxman, I can use as an conduit for invoicing etc. as long as I keep separate accounts for the driving & the rest of my business. I’m trying to work out whether I’d be better of with Nova/Madison, keep my own separate accounts or stick to PAYE which at least means that I’m covered for part of my tax & NI liability.
PAULSMC:
Im working for Sainsbury’s in Sunny Scotland £9.82 between 6am and 6pm then £11.45 between 6pm and 6am, after 50 hours(and I know thats a fair bit!) we go up to £12ph. I think we are on a good rate what do the rest of you think?
