Chris im afraid we’re going to have to agree to disagree because the way i’ve been brought up is that you dont tell tales on others no matter what the situation is, sorry but thats the type of person i amAs an example how do you feel about this photo it was taken at 3am on a sunday morning its the speedo and rev counter from a 17t volvo the picture was taken on the A56 between haslingdon and burnley (very steep downhill) with a load weighing 8 ton
Simon
What do you want; a medal
By the way, you can also achieve the same result of both needles hitting the stoppers by opening the tacho holder when you’re moving. Sorry, nice try, but you’ve been sussed
Bet he nearly wet his pants with excitement when he dreamed up this pic " oh oh cant wait to post this on the net " sad merchant banker, thats why you will always be driving wheel barrow puddle jumpers dear little simple simon.

I am sure glad that isnt my waggon he is driving! I also wonder if the guy who’s waggon it is would be happy?
Look at the rev’s lucky he didn’t blow it to bits!
the engine certianly wont like it. I wonder what vosa will think if they see the tacho?
But he was going down a hill at the time , was he not?

Did 120 kph down Stokenchurch Bank on M40 South, last Sunday night, fully freighted!
I know a bloke who managed 96 mph down Fish Hill (A44, near Evesham) with a full chute of spuds. He says his sphincter has never been the same since, didn’t think he could stop for the roundabout at the bottom!!!
brummie:
I know a bloke who managed 96 mph
Not the ‘I KNOW A BLOKE WHO…’ gag again surely
all very comendable, but now one very fubared fl, probly the best thing for it thou
chris
Right now for the rest of the story
As an example how do you feel about this photo it was taken at 3am on a sunday morning its the speedo and rev counter from a 17t volvo the picture was taken on the A56 PARKED IN A LAYBY between haslingdon and burnley (very steep downhill) with a load weighing 8 ton
I was taking a 45 and was bored so started messing about with the dash switches and found this
and when you press the button it does this
which i thought was quite cool and thought would be a nice example to use on the SUPERGRASS brigade
SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS BEFORE YOU GO TELLING TAILS TO THE LAW GET THE FULL STORY AND YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU COST SOMEONE THERE LIVELYHOOD
There was only one person on this whole board who sussed it out so ROB K take a bow you now your stuff
Oh and suffolkreeferchimp i’d rather drive a puddle jumper than be a class 1 (no offence to any other class 1 drivers
)

The ORIGINAL post was about actually SEEING someone driving driving carelessly and erraticly , which caused Tiggz enough concern to possibly prevent yet another driver from possibly being tired and causing yet another major tailback and possibly causing death or injury due to bad driving, so she had the facts right when she thought of phoning the police.
Had she seen a driver playing with the buttons on his dashboard and taking photographs im sure she wouldn,t have called the Police, mind you seeing a guy sat in the drivers seat with a camera pointed down i the cab might cause her some bewilderment !!!.
Where does this line “lose his liveliehood” come from surely if the guy had caused a major incident he would have been more at risk of losing his liveliehood than actually being stopped by the Police and told to take a break?.
I think the moral of this post is that some drivers would actually be a little concerned and feel the need to report someone driving erratically, carelessly and irresponsibly and others couldnt give a monkies .
Would you still feel the same if it was a caravanner driving badly?.
Jammy

Jumping to conclusions when the full story is not known another for instance im driving down the M6 a couple of weeks ago middle lane 56mph and all of a sudden i start swerving all over the road for about 2-3hundred yards now to some people im dangerous and should be reported to the law When in reality a wasp just flew in through the window and stung me just below my right eye and the thing was stuck in my face stinging like a mutha. But had the part time police in trucks reported me i could of been done for something which was out of my control

LOL i thought twice about wording it that way

How can you guarantee the police would have just said take a break though

Some maybe concerned yes but is there any need to call the cops as im pretty sure 99% of calls would just be ignored by them i mean the police cant be bothered to go to your house when it gets robbed so what makes you think there gonna do anything about some trucker thats whinning about another road user
and the caravaners thing same as any other road user if you think they are driving dodgey hang back and pass when safe to do so
simon [/i]
Tothill services to the M3/M27 split is hardly a coupleof hundred yards, yeh ok we have all had a wasp in the cab and automatically think of ourselves and not the truck of other roadusers like you say 2/300 yards, probably woudlnt be a problem to most people, but 30 miles ( estimated) is a problem…
Ok jammy we’ll have to agree to disagree then peace
simon
Ok.
nice one jammy
