Scarab:
Aye, I’d leave it. You never know, they might be withholding his wages, boss is banging his Mrs etc
Or he might be about to have new fuel tanks fitted and is getting the last bits out so the guys at the garage don’t nick it all.
You never know
This.
I wonder how many would’ve been on the phone if the unit had been sign written with a number on it ?

Dozens, folk just can’t help themselves getting involved in stuff that doesn’t concern them.
Well done andi_cardiff, neil, papermonkey, Scarab, busby, Farnboroughboy, Saamon… my faith has been slightly restored that this site isn’t full of interfering do-gooders after all. Refreshing to still find people are content to get on with their own lives/business without feeling it their duty to stick their fat beaks into other people’s.
The Sarge:
You said “it was his own unit”, so the chances are he’s nicking from his boss.
That’s just it, ‘chances are’ but no one on this thread knows for sure, it’s all just assumption.
Equally the boss might let him have a bit for his car to get to work and back, I’ve know this to happen. It might be his own truck. He might even have lost something in the tank and is trying to get it out.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck - it’s a good chance it’s a duck
If something looks iffy - it’s usually because it IS iffy.

As I said, I live by some very outmoded concepts. I know it, and I’m not surprised - slightly disappointed in my fellow man occasionally, but never surprised…

Just go by my concept, if it does not affect you or your family directly just ignore it, not worth the hassle

and its because of this sort of behaviour that wages will always be low for the lot of us,
robbing diesel, fiddling time sheets, fiddling expenses helping yourself to goods in transit nicking anything that is not nailed down, and a lot of it that is, and when a company goes bust everyone says oh dear another one gone where will it all end, i would have telephoned the police and shopped the thieving ******
are you for real? " this sort of behavior is why wages will always be low"- FFS.
bet you phone the number on the "hows my driving " stickers aswell
if he’s nicking diesel let his boss catch him and mind your own ■■■■■■■ business.
would you have phoned the old bill and “shopped the thieving *******” if it was a foreign lorry?
