Sitiing in traffic on the motorway you look down and see a driver with a open can of Stella in his hand and 3 empty cans in the footwell…what would you do?

more importantly what did YOU do? you saw it,why do you need to ask other people?-can you not think for yourself?

OK,here’s what I did.

Rang the police gave his reg,reg model ect and what jct he was at in the traffic.

Couple of hours later got a phone call off a motorway police officer thanking me for my call, turned out he was over the limit by some way, coppers words.

Anyone that disagrees with what I did is welcome to come meet my friend and his 4 year old daughter who lost his wife/mummy to a drunk driver 2 years ago.

you are talking ■■■■■■■■-you cant see whats in the footwell of a car next to you in standing traffic on the motorway.

I think you can in a fh globetrotter,he was in a Audi convertible

Now I get it, you felt guilty and now you feel good because you got a positive response

Ok.

Hate drink drivers no time for them

I reported my neighbour and got him banned for 18 months , when he drove home from a local village fair with his two small children in the car and was so smashed he could not walk in a straight line coming down the path , it was an easy decision :imp: only had to wait until the next sunday morn as he loaded his car for a trip to the amenity tip with all his vodka bottles , over twice the limit at 10am

Mind my own, plenty grasses out there(like you), I’m not one of them!

I called the fuzz a few weeks ago. Car driving down motorway, single occupant and open can next to them.
Grass or not I couldn’t care less, I’ve done my bit - what the police do with my info is up to them.

I can’t believe people are calling the OP a grass? So zb’ing what! Drink drivers are scum, anything chance you get to get them off the road means that someones mum, dad, brother, sister, granparents or whoever might be going home that night! How many people die because they are hit by drunk drivers? Answer, too many.

I wonder if that view would change after you had been to identify your son/daughter/wife’s body in a mortuary after they been killed by a drunk driver…

Guy who crashed into me was more than three times the legal limit. Wish someone had “grassed” on him.

I could be identifying a loved ones body after a stabbing, plane crash, shooting, terminal illness, incident caused by a stone cold sober individual, anything. I view life differently, sorry…

No one likes the idea of a grass, but for serious stuff a grass is what I would call a responsible adult who is not letting the bad or stupid guys win.
As a parent,Son,Brother I say well done mate and thanks.

you know how the saying goes…‘it takes all sorts to make the world go round’!

I am a grass and would most definitely tell the cops and I would feel no regrets over it, if it stops that drunk-driver to kill one person today then good, may not stop him again in future or may not stop someone else true, also true I can’t ‘save the world’ but that person needs to learn the lesson that drink and drive do not mix where you drive on roads with other people around you.

Would you report someone for walking down the street with a gun, firing indiscriminately? It’s the same thing, only a matter of time till they kill somone and YOU could stop them.

And if you thought intervening might stop any of that stuff happening, you would… Wouldn’t you? Same thing.

It does amaze me sometimes on this forum what would have to be happening for some of the members to intervene?!

If you saw someone with "something " strapped to them about to meet his maker and kill a bunch of innocent folk (If you get my drift) , you 'd turn a blind eye would you??

Thankfully, a lot of people take a different view to yours.

I don’t think he is a grass I would do the same as regards reporting him, what would you say if you saw a drink driver, did not report him then he went on to kill someone further up the road, how would you feel then knowing you could have stopped some innocent dying via a quick phone call to the police,i can only assume you have been a drink driver convicted or otherwise,if you have and you have been convicted then shame on you, thankfully there are decent people like the OP out there who believe in right from wrong

A lot of ■■■■ pots on here, what you never went to work after having a few drinks the night before, well people who don’t drink ok, but people who do shame on you and you probably never gave it a second thought when you did at some time in you life. I agree with the post if you see it and its driving then it should be shot but don’t be a person and say you never had a drink or thought you might be over the limit the next morning and still went to work or drove your car.

I was going to put some smartarsed comment in, but then saw some of the replies and didn’t want to be associated with the ■■■■■■■ that condone drink driving.

No i can’t, I wouldn’t be armed & I’m not risking my life for it.
