What would be your dream truck?

This question may have been asked many a time before on this forum, I don’t know  . (Incidentally I did do a quick search and nothing came up   ) So I have my tin hat on ready and one foot inside my trucknet post-posting fall out shelter. :open_mouth:  :exclamation: :exclamation:

What would be your dream truck■■?

If you could have a truck built to your own specifications with anything on it/in it from any manufacturer at all what would it have to make your job/life in the truck better. Feel free to post tounge in cheek if you feel the urge as no doubt some of you will anyway as I have done before in other peoples serious posts (plus i think this question is just asking for it anyway )      :exclamation: , lol.!!!

In my truck I would have the seat out of a Renault as out of the trucks I have driven I find that’s the best seat and I would have the driver side, side window fold down sun visor thingy bob as not all truck have them and they are useful, well to me anyway.

Would also have the horn from the renault not the paltry excuse of a horn the DAF’s and MAN I have driven have been blessed with :exclamation:

So just thought it would be interesting to see what other people would have in their own dream truck.

Cheers

James

Everything you said plus somewhere to take a dump.

scania t cab longline topline or daf xft 105 extended chassis and body

flat floor, custom designed leather and suede bucket type seats, easy reach dials and switchs like on a volvo. also the dash would have a flat top on it like in the daf cfs and xfs

for the nights out and everything there would be a proper fridge with mayby a small freezer aswell. also have a small cooker and extractor. there would be plenty of storage space for clothes etc and also all the tools etc needed for the truck. almost forgot the lil caravan toilet for emergencies

id have a queen size double bed, xbox 360 and a 32" tv and would also have an internet connection on board.

as for the paint on the outside id have black/ into silver then back to black sparkleflake paint

well you did say it could be my dream truck

edit alot of things have came up that i forgot about. id have a mega sound system, and enable it to be hooked up to the xbox, turn it up while playing cod5 in an msa at 2am  imagine how many folk would run lol. also proper power sockets

engine would have to be a 700hp v8 with 4 pipes, 2 twin stacks and 2 side exits all 6 inches wide lol

do i wanna be seen and heard… of course

if the horn in the DAF you have driven is a paltry excuse, then it must have been changed at some point, i have never had one that bad

for my dream truck, it would have to be a real version of the fake photoshopped image of the XT105 Torpedo or that streched cab XF95

internally, i don’t think i would want a double bed, waste of time and space when you are sleeping in it on your own, but there would have to be a fridge freezer, sink, TV, games console ( to play DVD’s ), microwave, cooker and whatever else will no doubt spring to mind after i hit the submit button

as for the colour, it would have to be red

Volvo fh16 660, Painted red with sparkley stuff, all the lights, horns, exhausts etc, inside i would have some recaro seats double bed, xbox 360, plazma, cooker, fridge, internet, massive sound system,

and a nice page 3 model in the passenger seat

that’ll do

I know I’m going to get stick for this but

cab styled to look like a Atki Borderer but with a flat floor, decent sized bed etc and a high roof, cat or ■■■■■■■ engine and auto gearbox and air suspension allround

daf cab, scania v8 running gear axles etc, 3 or 4 series electrics, all way through the truck, and a horn from a reliant regal:lol:

All the above specs on a V8 Scania chassis…

With a fully loaded ATM that spits out decent wages to drive said truck!!

In a nut shell…I’d swap my dream truck for dream wages and pension!

I’m surprised in this technological age, that voice activated tasks, like radio changing, lights on,etc etc, haven’t been thought of yet. That would be nice, then you could do away with a lot of switchgear.

Personally,it would have the sound system of the Premium, (As i’ve said so many times before,I think it’s the best standard fit out there.) and I like the Volvo based auto gearbox in the new Premium,as you can actually kick down without the need of a ‘P’ button.

Engine wise, then a 14 litre ■■■■■■■ with a pair of vertical stacks, and a whistling turbo sounds the mutts nuts.

Bed wise, then DAF wins it for me.They always seem to have been thicker than all the others, however the new ones from Volvo are a lot better than what they have been, and a flat floor is a must.

Dashboard.Volvo wins it for me here.I like the fact that there is a lot of information to hand, although the joint rev counter/speedo in the new Premiums is brilliant, and if you get caught speeding with that in front of you, then I have no sympathy. Not a big lover of the Stralis,as I think electrics is it’s achilles heel.

I would like to see as standard in all trucks,a fridge, air con,tv with Sky,240v power and sockets for your laptop etc,and one thing that is definitely an extra and should be standard, and that is an air deflector on the drivers window. How many times have you opened the window when it’s raining slightly, only to get wet? With a deflector, you could have the window open, even if it rains. On the subject of windows, what about reactolite glass that tints when it gets sunny?

As for the exterior, then I think a nice Ford Daytona Yellow from the 70’s would certainly catch the eye. :open_mouth:

Ken.

heres mine but i would have better interior init

A Chauffeur

My Peterbilt cab with a Scania V8, Volvo I-Shift, Scania retarder, ERF brakes (I know, I hate ERFs but they have got good brakes) Scania mirrors & the seats with the split backrest from the 4 series Topline. Ipod compatible super stereo, anytime anyplace wi-fi connection, flat screen satellite tv, engine off A/C & heating.

As we’re dreaming it would run on water & cost me $1 a day total running costs & would include a 21yr old supermodel nymphomaniac who loved football, if Carlsberg made lorries…

Scania Topline 164 580(Irish Commercials,Special Edition) with the Volvo I Shift. Twin upright Eminox stacks, red with proper old skool sign writing.Dont think you can beat the over cab bed for size and you can sit on it with your head out the sky light.(although I did have a nightmare one night whilst parked up in Aberdeen that it closed and squashed my head)

I would want one that;

A Runs on water

and

B That never breaks down!!!

daf 95 high cabbed top spec will do me.

An extended DAF105 (Scania longline style) with half the interior fittings from an actros, like that nice fridge/freezer…

This One!!

N2N Transport:
This One!!

well what ever floats your boat mate   :sunglasses: :stuck_out_tongue: :exclamation:

I think an F16 or 3600 spacecab with a nice low loader behind it. something easy like a nice 4 axle from Faymonville.

Or 5 axle.

or even 6.

“We’ve had bigger than that in here driver.”
