What would be your dream truck?

buck73:
daf 95 high cabbed top spec will do me.

Me too, hauled around in one for six months - a real pleasure compared to back breaking Merc I’m in now.

This will do me VERY nicely… :open_mouth:

My ideal truck would have the new Magnum interior

and the body of a Scania R620 griffin and the i shift gear box.

in British racing green

and the most important piece of kit is a mobile phone that lets you make outgoing calls only

Del

There would only be one truck on my dream list- VOLVO F88 !!
Enough said.

MR VAIN:
I would want one that;

A Runs on water

and

B That never breaks down!!!

that is the best answer on here top marks mr v

Daf 3600ati space cab . . . would still stay away in one of those - given the chance.

Airfreight:
Scania Topline 164 580(Irish Commercials,Special Edition) with the Volvo I Shift. Twin upright Eminox stacks, red with proper old skool sign writing.Dont think you can beat the over cab bed for size and you can sit on it with your head out the sky light.(although I did have a nightmare one night whilst parked up in Aberdeen that it closed and squashed my head)

bar the dreamin bit that along the lines of what i’d like…got to be a tag though :sunglasses:  straight through pipes not eminox :smiling_imp:

yes mate about as much a supprise as this one!!!

shuttlespanker:
for my dream truck, it would have to be a real version of the fake photoshopped image of the XT105 Torpedo or that streched cab XF95 as for the colour, it would have to be red

Scania V8 Topline for looks, power and sound. DAF XF Spacecab for living space and bed comfort, but with Volvo build quality and I-shift.

I have to admit that the new top of the range M.A.N TGX looks good. However, I’ll await fellow members opinions on this latest model, as we don’t have any M.A.Ns in our fleet.

Sorry mate, day off tomorrow, and whilst reachin for me glass of wine I missed the word SUPER. Apologies to all DAF fans.

Well never thought i would say it but Scania gone down in my ratings since i got my new Fm400.

Built in 15" flat screen dvd player, built in fridge, I shift, air con, climate control, COMFY bed, good dash layout, storage galore inside and out, 8 speaker stereo system, built in bluetooth phone system, that comes thru stereo!!! top air horns and lights…only problem■■?

The mirror set up…blind spots are TERRIBLE!!!

Well I would have the Topline looks, the old grs 900 gearbox, a fuse ya can pull and a serious sound system. Think a DAF interior and a V8 164 with plenty of steam would be perfect!!!

Kev

For me the FH12 Globetrotter is about the best, I cant really see how it can be improved other than the instalation of a crapper in place of the passenger seat. The driver seat is about as comfortable as you can get, the bunk is much the same (best nights sleep ever), what more could you wish for?

Tiger.

Speaking as a rigid driver, I would take any of the Mercs for their reliability alone. My nightmare is driving MAN 18 tonners as they have the turning circle of a super tanker.

And the 18TON MAN you have to start braking 5 miles before you want to stop. :open_mouth:   :exclamation: :exclamation:

Oh yes, I forgot how good the brakes are  - The last 18 ton MAN I drove was for DHL … I had to three point turn to get around a corner that I can usually just drive around in any other truck :open_mouth:

Clarky:

you find your self cranking your neck around the mirrors all the time when approaching a roundabout!!!

It’s a shame they havent invented mirrors that work like that privacy glass, where you flick a switch and the mirror becomes a seethrough and flick switch back and its a mirror again!!!
