There’s a bit on the truck blog about was it a 450 or 500 ?

Dan mine was a 450 but I changed the numbers round to 540 caused a stir or two round Europe.Interestingly got rid of it and 3 Mercs later the
■■■■ thing was still working flat out daily, passed me on many occasions.

After a nightmare on half-shafts I swapped 177e over to a Bombproof RW180,
some difference in the size of diff :exclamation: :exclamation: :open_mouth:

94 FL6 with an 11 stall body, kept it for 6 months before swapping the body onto a MAN 19.414, it was everything the Volvo wasn’t, quiet, comfortable and powerful.

Scania 143 tag axle on a L wish I still had her, never let me down in 3 years

84/B Volvo f7
6 wheeler beaver tail plant lorry 070 hiab
113 Scania rear lift unit after that (high cab) Ereg with lowloader

52 plate MAN TGA, cracking truck and very reliable. Unfortunately ended up with a cracked head so traded it for a Scania Topline. What a mistake, nearly bankrupted me!!

Ex-Ryder 1988 Ford Cargo 1817 rigid box van, with sleeper cab and tail lift.Had a ■■■■■■■ V8 in it that wouldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding
Cost me £4000,no VAT as the fellers selling it had lost their VAT number due to some dubious practices involving imported alcohol or something.
No night heater or anything, took me all over Europe for 2 or 3 years, not a single breakdown of any kind whatsoever…can’t say I miss it,due to it’s gutlessness, but it got me going and I had money in my pocket from day one…
