Seems to me you’d need a Cat C to drive it as weight over 7.5t, add in the race shuttle and car etc over the allowable 750kg towing then your looking at C+E?

Thanks folks, any recommendations to how and who??
How ? - Do cat C training and test then do the cat C+E training and test.
You have to pass cat C before you can do cat C+E.
Who ? - Depends on your location.
If you can post your general location someone may be able to recommend an HGV trainer in your area.
A word of advice, some so called trainers who advertise are actually brokers not trainers, a broker will charge more and send you to a training company to do the training, HGV training brokers have a pretty bad reputation so avoid them at all costs
I will be taking the motorhome abroad to the race circuits in Europe to, does that add to any complications?
Yes and no, when you get a C+E licence that will cover you for driving. Just need to carry the correct documents, you’ll have to run a tacho, (unless you can get an exemption because it’s a motorhome) You can get an exemption from the German maut payments, just have to register and send photos showing it’s a motorhome or mobile workshop and not a haulage vehicle.
Most of Eurpoe have toll systems, but you can get a toll box that covers France, Spain and Portugal from various places, saves having to queue up to pay and having to climb over or out of the cab when you get to the booth. (we get ours from DKV, but you can also try Harbour Shipping)
If you have any questions for a particular country, post on the Euro forum, but give plenty of time, so people can check out the differences between motorhomes and trucks.
You’re very welcome to call in, no appointment needed, and have a look around our training centre. Have a sit in a truck - there’s normally a spare in the yard (a consideration when choosing a trainer) and one of the staff will be happy to explain the route to your licences. Everything is organised for you from medical, theory training online and classroom, theory tests, practical training and test.
You might want to bear in mind that, with us, you get your test at our private test centre where you have been trained, a choice of manual or auto (manual licence either way provided you hold a manual car licence), DVSA registered instructors and 10% Trucknet discount - - ask for that if and when you book. When you get to CE you have a choice of drawbar (manual or auto) or auto full size artic.
We are also the ONLY DVSA Accredited LGV Training Centre between Luton and Carlisle.
As suggested, go elsewhere as well so that you can see the difference.
